So I was trying to ride crashed The Bear by ClemTheOuf and it kep crashing when creating supports. I figure this is because it's a wooden ride so therefore pretty dense. Has anybody had this problem / found a fix for it before I maybe contact the official source about it?

System Specs:
+Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130708-1532)
+Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
+Memory: 8192MB RAM
+Graphics Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

Damn, that's a pretty nice set up! My computer is leagues behind in comparison, so I doubt it's any of your hardware. Haven't tried that particular ride myself, but my guess is it's not necessarily your computer. I've got an AMD triple core @ 2.10GHz, 4 gig ram, and an Nvidia GT 220. So I've got about half the computer you do, haha. I'm not entirely sure...

Yeah haha, I got a job and first thing to spend money was a new rig to play Planetside 2 haha. :D

I think it's likely to do with Windows 7 and/or 64bit...

I've tried running as admin and changing the compatibility settings to no avail :(

Nice first purchase! All my money goes towards bills. I'm even having trouble saving for the Xbone, haha.

And yeah, I definitely remember when using Vista having to switch all those admin/compatibility options around just to get things to work. I also remember not being able to find the screenshot folder on Vista too, haha. I just got the computer I described as a hand-me-down so my brother-in-law had someone to play SWTOR with, haha. Only bad thing, it's running Vista. I want 7, but obviously not going out to buy it with my current circumstances, lol. On the plus side, I have a computer that can at least handle NL on highest settings no problem! [approve]

Guess all I've done is talk, not help, haha. My bad!

pretty sure there is a button somewhere called "optimise wooden supports". Either in the editor or the sim, might be worth a go. I've got pretty much the exact same set up but with i7 instead of i5, and i've had issues with wooden supports before now, but with frame rates in the sim, never on loading up.

Optimise Wooden Supports was on, switched it off to no avail either. Thanks for the idea though!

Okay figured it out, the environment was messing everything up for some reason, set it to NL default and it was fine. Someone drop me a link to their coaster with an enviroment so I can tell if its a global thing or just that particular coaster? :)
