I hate posting relly bad and unsmooth coasters but I try my best, I hear there are more programs you can use to make smooth coasters like such as Newton 2, FVD++, or AHG. Can anyone tell me the easiest one to use and how to use or or give me a link to youtube on a tut? tyvm!So thankszzzz! [:D]

It's me again! I'm on here way too much. These programs are physics based design programs. They make much smoother coasters but it takes awhile to understand the physics and apply them properly. I can give you the links to Newton 2 and FVD+. When you use these, you no longer need AHG because the heart line is built in. For tutorials on Newton 2, look up the real entropy. For FVD ++ I'm not sure what his username is but it's L Bosch who makes them. Just google FVD tutorials. I am not nearly as good with FVD+ as I am with Newton but that doesn't mean it's harder to learn. I actually hear FVD++ is more powerful

It's a bit frustrating not being able to create the elements you want at first but you will understand soon enough and be much more successful!

Change coastercrazy to nolimits-exchange in the URL. Sorry the forum autocorrects this.

I think out of those, Newton 2 is probably the easiest. AHG doesn't actually smooth the track, just heartlines it for you. I haven't really had very much luck with AHG. If you use Newton 2, your first few tracks will probably appear to be what people like to call "Newtony" and it is very easy to adjust the sliders and go with the result just because it's smooth and looks kinda cool, but also frowned upon. FVD++ is more confusing to use than Newton but it can do some things that Newton can't, like perfectly smooth banking transitions into and from straight segments.

Feel free to do what you want, but I personally would not use Newton for wooden coasters unless it's a Rocky Mountain or Intamin prefab. FVD++, maybe, but probably use mostly geometric segments.

It all takes practice. Don't expect to get it right away.

Yep! made my first newton coaster. Turned out it had 107.5 g's and 224.5 lateral. oh and it doesent stop at the station.

If you used Straight and Curved Geometry I can see how. (Single and Multi are more fun)!
