Hello everyone,

NoLimits 2 is slated for release "before Christmas" this year. There couldn't be a better time to recount on some of the amazing creations the NoLimits community has seen over the past 13 years of the program's lifetime. Design and culture of the community has drastically changed since its dawn in 2001.

To wrap up the experience, I've started a three-part YouTube mini-series entitled "This is NoLimits", featuring a "creative collective" of rides big and small in a presentation. The idea is that this series will show someone who hasn't been involved in NoLimits get the gist of everything that it encompasses - technical quality, speed & fun, and artistic value.

This is NoLimits - Vol 1: "Technical Details"

Image

This first installment, "Technical Details" displays the community's fascination with detail in track, supports, pace, and ride dynamics. The coasters featured in this video are just a tiny fraction of the vast number of excellently detailed rides that have been created over the past decade. The ability to make anything possible, big or small, is one of the great parts about NoLimits and its community.

This is NoLimits - Vol 2: "Adrenaline Rush"

Image

The second installment, "Adrenaline Rush" displays the community's creations of great speed, g-force, pace, and excitement. The coasters featured in this video are just a tiny fraction of the vast number of lightning-quick rides that have been created over the past decade.

This is NoLimits - Vol 3: "Rolling Passion"

Image

The third and final installment of the mini-series "This is NoLimits" displays the community's passion for creating beautiful and detailed coasters, real or fantasy. No matter how good the build technique or how fast and intense the ride is, there is always something special about a really great-looking, unique coaster that really utilizes the name of the game.

There's even more rides I should have included lol. My initial list broke 50 coasters for just this video alone (technical). My total spreadsheet list shows 100 potential candidates for all three videos.

If your ride had a super cool small detail or bit then I probably could have included it lol. This video focuses more on the collective community rather than individual rides, so if one person does one cool thing (original or not), I put it in. Like the rollback launch on Macaw - I don't find that ride to be a technical masterpiece really but because it had a rollback launch I included it. Even though others have done it before.

Think more along the lines of "here's what the NL community does".

Show my top jet coasters such as Mamma's Rolling That Body and that Jamping Down Candlelights Coaster etc in the next 2 videos. Could you do a whole album on just my best and most creative jetcoasters and concept coasters like The Lathe.

Made me feel rather excited when I saw Tsar making an appearance! Thank you very much for that! [^]

Awesome video, honestly. Got me to thinking, when you look at how awesome some of those rides looks, what will be possible with NL2?!

Edit:

No! New enthusiasts wouldn't want to see slow jet coaster lifts and gaint boring turns as an introduction to the world of Nolimits.

You would have liked my original version then - I originally had your coaster featured a bit longer but then I forgot to include Forester so I bumped you out a little bit. I can only fit so many... [lol]

I'm glad everyone likes it! I'm somewhat surprised everyone is enjoying the music - I took a bit of a gamble on that one but it's great to see that most people find it fitting with the style of editing and coasters used. It's also nice to hear that I didn't necessarily overdo the color spills and light leaks. They're essentially washed out colors that I splashed over screen layers. I wanted a bit of a "pastel" feel to it to emphasize the creativity of the creations on there. Sounds stupid but that was the idea, and it looks as though everyone found that it fits.

Getting the theme for this video was probably the trickiest part (alongside fitting in so many coasters in an actually coherent way). There's no major feeling you have with these types of detailed rides, but you get this sort of subtle quirk when you see something technically impressive. Translating that into a video (that is accessible enough to everyone!) proved to be a decent challenge, and it's great to hear I've pulled it off!

"Adrenaline Pumped" is next on the to-do list. I'm probably going to start recording before the end of this week, but we'll see - I've been busy lately with school. I hope it can meet the high expectations set by the first video. Thanks for watching!

I bet it feels awesome to have the official No Limits YouTube channel to comment on your work and praise it too.

There are easier ways to beat each other off than this but ok.

Also thanks for bothering to include tracks before 2010, such as mine lol

And since people are enjoying the music I'll just mention that it sounds like a pedophile reincarnated as a doll in a failed 8 bit video game

Yeah it's a bit cheesy but I couldn't come up with anything better. BTW, I have a surprise that I'd like to include on that one but I first have to work out whether or not I can do it.

There are plenty of good tracks before 2010 so it wasn't too hard. Plus yours had an interesting roll that I could use.

lol That's fine, I was pretty confident you wouldn't like it and you'd say something like "Its sounds like ________ being blended by a ________ ripped in half via ________," because it was electronically made. In the end I unfortunately can't really pick anything that pleases 100% of the Earth. I hope your poor ears are okay! [:p]

Glad you enjoy it gouldy. [:)] Most people on other sites (like NL-E) seemed to have liked this video more for some reason - perhaps because the subject is something more exciting. I hope I can once again deliver for the third volume!

That was quality :D

It would be nice to see a download pack of the rides! (if you can get permission from the owners) Or perhaps a link set of their respective downloads!
