I like the stuff on NLE's thread, so I'm going to start it here.

Kaleido-Coaster (working title)
This is meant to be a launch of some sort.

This isn't very detailed yet because, I haven't even come up with a layout for it. I might finish this later if it is somewhat cool.

Arches would have a more 60's look to it. I'm just working with default textures for now.

More arches and pastel colors.

Colorful. The design kinda looks like a maze. Speaking of mazes:

Anyone remember this from the earlier Windows operating systems?
Also:
This is a giga coaster I made back sometime in the fall of last year. It's called "Steel Mammoth". I never finished it because I wasn't sure if I was satisfied with it.

Millennium Force's bizarro brother.
Image
Part of my Windstar roller coaster was based on this. Little backstory: A YT user named HyperDynamicsCoaster held a giga coaster contest and I was originally thinking about using this one, but I used Windstar instead.

Another bizarro Millennium Force moment.

Sideways airtime.

Helix finale. This is all hand-built. Not worth its own thread due to how far along I am and what little content there would be.
This should be a fun thread [^]

As an extremely small side project, I had also gotten inspired to make a shuttle coaster concept.
Image
Despite what the image name suggests, I don't think this is Vekoma, but it is a boomerang.
Go up the first spike, race thru the giant corkscrew, thru the overbank, then the loop, and after that is a pop of airtime. Then riders go up the second spike and do it all again backwards, experiencing a max of 4.8 G's (I think).
Image
Another view of the twisted track that lie in between the spikes.
Image
Originally this used the corkscrew cars, but when I decided to put a pop of airtime as filler between the second spike and the loop, I thought lap bars would be better. I think insanely steep spikes would be more thrilling with lap bar trains.
Have not decided on a name yet.

Call it Can You Eat and Chew My Face Off Coaster? Make a 3ds zombie in the station that selects one lucky rider that the zombie eats and chews his or her face off.

I don't think so. Feel free to use that name for one of your own coasters.

^Kinda reminds me of Ivory Tower. Why isn't this thread more active ;_;
Anyway:

This might be way too small but I wanted to make a backyard coaster. But I'm pretty much committed to not working on anything NL related until NL2.

Compact hyper coaster layout, with some kind of vertical ride in the center.

This is a RMC-like coaster I made in the latter part of 2009, around when the Texas Giant editing was announced, and inspired by some of the announcement details. It's called Sky Streak, and the supports suck because I had since deleted the supports for some reason and wanted to quickly re-add them with wooden magic so I wouldn't have screens of floating track.

^ What a beast. Not fond of the blue, though.

Here's some of my ideas.

A hammer-launched flying coaster (inspired by Ride-Tek):

A layout for a S&S free spin 4D :

A RMC wooden with some B&M influence (first two inversions, ampersand... ^^'):
Image

A 3S (tricable) ropeway to carry vehicles for a terrain coaster :

I'm currently working on that last one. That's for a contest.

I think I've seen something like the flyer's lift in a K'nex creation.
Is the S&S free-spinning 4D layout unfinished or is that it?

I wonder if, since this thread is in the NL Coaster 1 forum, we will be allowed to post No Limits 2 ideas here or if someone will start a No Limits 2 version of this thread whenever the No Limits 2 forum opens up.

This topic is suited for both NL1 and NL2. If NL2 arrives and it appears a separation is needed, we'll split up the topic.

The hammer-launch was first featured in a video from Ride-Tek: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvHRi8gG0Rw, so yup, you might saw that elsewhere. If you recall what K'nex coaster that was, tell me, I'd like to take a look. =)
My track Pastel (2008) feature one, too.

No, the layout for the S&S is still unfinished. I jump from an idea to another and don't like to work on a ride for too long (I wish I had the patience to).

Ha, I've forgotten the dueling El Loco!

I'm glad to see my stolen topic getting some attention! I think it's really interesting to see what's buzzing around people's heads and short little construction updates. Thank you AJ for the brilliant topic that now has about 80 pages on NLE. Hopefully it becomes just as active here with the release of NL2 coming quick!

Allen Herschel styled kiddie coaster with a blackhole included. It will be themed to Britney Spears. Top speed 55MPH for this kiddie coaster. I want to call the coaster Shut Up And Party Yeah. I want to make the blackhole tunnel a "party in a blackhole."

Hey KingRCT3, would I be able to use the elements in your Woodie for my own Wooden coaster? Those are really unique :)

Aussie : Actually those shown here are real life elements: the ampersand is inspired by Shambhala's one, and the first combo is from Flug de D?????????monen, the new wing coaster at Heide. So there's no kind of copyright or anything, feel free to be inspired, and that's why I post is these kind of thread. ;)

Or did you mean the saved elements in NoLimits (.nlelem)? Those are terrible, you'd better make your own, haha.

A few ideas I messed with...unfortunately I lost both of these tracks when my Toshiba "Death Star" clicked out on me...never again Toshiba (which I will end my rant here)...So, one of these tracks for giggles, and the other was merely an experiment that worked out nicely. The latter has been remade and is better than ever!

For starters, let's get the giggly one done first...meet "Half Throttle," what is essentially a miniature Full Throttle! I tried to recreate the SFMM promo video as close as possible.

Remember...YOYO...You're Only Young Once! :)

And the other, more serious note, also a California Premier Rides coaster...that is, Superman Ultimate Flight! The main goal in this was to get this to launch forward and reverse, replicating the actual ride's cycle as opposed to just 1 launch in the continuous circuit mode. Pardon the terrible track overlapping but this was just a test to see if I could actually pull this off.

So basically the whole theme in these two tracks were the CA Premier Rides coasters, and faking out a shuttle track as a continuous circuit, and experimenting with forward/reverse launches mid ride. Excuse the rock smash on the Half Throttle video :)
