I've seen a few complaints about spending $100 on NL2. Let's just see what $100 bucks really is. At minimum wage here in the good old USA, say $8.00 an hour to make the calculations easy, 100 smakaroos is equivalant to 12 and 1/2 hours of labor. Fill up your gas tank in your automobile twice and you have spent $100. I just bought a pair of non-skid shoes for my work place and they cost me $175. So $100 is a lot of money but considering you can make that in about 12.5 hours, it's not really all that much.

I paid $45.95 for my copy. $100 isn't much if you're using it as a marketing tool. It IS a lot if you just want to build coasters and ride other people's designs. Honestly, if you aren't happy with your $100 investment, its no one else's fault but your own. It's your job as a consumers to decide the value and worth of a product. $46 is pretty reasonable for the job they've done, imo.

Here is a really old vintage classic stacked out and back coaster that I imported from NL1.

I hope the sounds get tweaked. There are a few new ones, but they're mixed with the old ones, and the rides don't sound entirely realistic.

^Okay. That's why the wood coaster in the demo sounded just like the NL1 ones. Maybe they wanted to get NL2 out sooner and then can patch/update to better and new coaster sounds(if possible in the coding)?

One more day and NL2 Pro is mine. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Oh, Sauron, the demo works great so I don't need the upgrade yet. Had one frame rate drop on one of the B&M promo rides on the turn to the lift hill and was fine the whole ride.

to Cool5, both yours and Jakizle's look great. In one of your pics Cool, where the track cuts under the supports, did the auto-support gen put in the overhead bracing? If so, that's a nice addition to NL. No way could I hand support or edit basic ones on wood coasters. :)

Here is another thing that I was playing around with in NL2. A long forgotten abandoned jet coaster. I used the weather panel to get the creepy atmosphere.

You can walk up the stairs to the platform but you see that there is no more coaster train since it got removed a long time ago.

Meta, can you post in the NL2 folder instructions how to do transfer tracks?
The NL2 help files are no help.
I can't figure it out and I am sure having a guide in there would be a great help to me and others.

Thanks!

Is their any documentation on how to do scripts. I haven't found any. I would like to program a fully working kindga ka 4 station setup etc. I have the switch track and everything working but I can't get it to send out both trains on one side out at the same time like it does when running 4 stations.

Also, I agree that the old sounds needs to go. They sound awful.

Lastly, the game desperately needs arrow/morgan hyper trains.

I'm running a mac with bootcamp and am running at 100fps and not dropping or lagging

so go for it and buy it

also, why is the top speed of a launch set to 154mph, should be a lot higher,
was wanting to make a 200+ launch with trims and then a i305 layout

Or how bout a wooden stand-up. OUCH, man!
NOTE: I did not use Construction Kit at all. This was all done entirely within No Limits 2.

did anyone with 100fps get some nasty frame ripping? I had to put on the frame rate limiter to fix it. at 70 it seems fine. It may be my SLI setup though, I still cant find out if NL2 supports SLI. It works but I don't think its using my 2nd video card.

Can I just ask - as a mac user with no access to a PC right now - how is NL2 in general? I literally just noticed that it had been released, and it looks incredible... you guys think it was worth the wait?

Halo364 I personally didn't expect such a level of perfection.
From the previews during years I thought it would have been a "much more detailed NL1" with new coaster styles but it's completely different:an insane editor with which you can do almost everything and a simulator with awesome graphics.
Now I understand why Dev Team needed 8 years to release it!
