[NL2] Destroid: Released!

Here's my first NL2 project. I started the track in NL1, but have since modified it with some new NL2 goodies. The ride will be themed to the music group Destroid, and will feature an immersing story (indoor dark ride segment) and on-board audio. I've been showing off on NLE, but I decided to post here!

Supports are finished! I'm going to tweak them later to compliment the [massive amounts of] scenery.

This is looking great!

I like when coasters are themed to some kind of music group, but I personally have never done any like that because it wouldn't feel right to not include an on-board audio of their music, but if I did, then uploading a video might get a copyright claim.
Scenery is looking quite well. Wonder if it's based on any real life locations.

Even if you didn't intentionally do it, there's so many places in the world that you probably accidentally based it off somewhere

Believe it or not, there are two real life locations I used for reference. The rest is improvised. The Eastern Metal Supply building is VERY loosely based off of the Western Metal Supply Co. building in San Diego, CA.

Looking real good. I love the fact that you took inspiration from one of the most icon buildings in San Diego to add to your scenery/theme. You wouldn't happen to be a native of this fine city, would you? lol.

Enough to be the action packed movie set as well, plus Destroid is getting to be my favorite word! I think this ride name is much cooler than you just name "Destroyer" which is a bit orthodox for a naming contest. It's really awesome to shout "Destroid!"

This reminds me of that Italian Job ride a ton. 3ds is looking great!

For now, Destroid seems to be gone.

Due to a computer virus, I have lost the most recent save of Destroid, along with all of the Sketchup files. My primary PC (the only one with any processing power) is unable to boot, and my secondary can barely run the park file. I'm doing everything I can do to try and recover the files, but I think this might be the end of the road.

Thank you to anyone and everyone that helped me, and gave me criticism along the way. If things don't work out, and this DOES turn out to be the end, I'm glad you guys helped me get this far. To date, this is the biggest NL project I've ever attempted, and the farthest I've ever gotten on a project of this size. It really sucks that it may not ever be completed.

I'll post any more updates (news) in this thread.

That's just cruel especially if it was your biggest project thus far.
I guess this is a reminder to back up my stuff on the external drive and/or Dropbox.

Yea, that really sucks, sorry to hear that, for the future, I would have projects like this, be saved in the dropbox folder, and then you work out of there so that it is always saving constantly.

Well, the good news is this project will most likely continue. The bad news is, it may be a few weeks before the next update. So, in an effort to thank you all for your help, I've decided to show you the full area music! I strongly advise listening to the full audio, there's lots of fun effects and sounds buried in it, from beginning to end.

I have created a 7 minute loop to play in the surrounding area of the ride, which takes place in an abandoned city, post alien invasion. In the audio, you will hear the brilliant music of Destroid, a distant battle taking place, crazy alien ships, as well as the crumbling of humanity around you.
