My final NL2 Edition. How sad. Firefly was definitely my favorite ride to work on because of how out of this world it is. It's a ride where I can let my imagination go nuts. The No Limits 2 Edition was particularly challenging due to the amount of editing it needed in the 3D model department. Ride the No Limits 1 version and No Limits 2 version side by side to see what I mean.

I have already been listening to your comments on the reviews and I already have the revision 1 in progress. Here's what's coming in R1:
*Reduced acceleration G's on both launches.
*Very slight speed reduction on 1st launch.
*Much more significant reduction at 2nd launch. Both Speed and acceleration.
*Train count reduced to four.

If there are any more suggestions for Revision 1 please let me know here!

I think he means the last ride he'll retool for NL2. Remember to do what make you happy Goku

Firefly - Released Jan. 1st 2014

Firefly NL2 Edition just released. It's a completely rehabbed version of the NL1 version and all the changes are listed in the exchange description.

http://www.coastercrazy.com/20291/Firef ... -2-Edition

Does all listed above plus:
*Tweaked Station settings so train dispatches as it hits the hidden trim brake.
*Both Launches will no longer stop except the 1st if the block is not clear.
*Launches should now properly reset if switched to manual mode then back to Auto with a train in the course.
*Slightly modified station rails and light placement.

I just had to bring this topic back from the dead....

I finally got my computer stable enough to run firefly at a constant frame rate. In doing so I was able to create these raw POV's:

The raw POV's are from revision 1. A lot of you have not edited the reviews for Revision 1 so I highly recommend downloading it to see the changes. If you're like me and cannot run it well, watch this video below:

Revision 1 can be downloaded at the track page: http://www.coastercrazy.com/20291/Firef ... -2-Edition

Triple post? Tisk Tisk, time to bring out the ban hammer.

Kidding, but It's nice to see revamped rides such as this one.

I know, makes me look bad. lol.

It took me forever to fix the lag with this one in particular. In the original video, (posted on the exchange page) you can see a lot of moments where the frame rate drops and there's a jitter. The video I just posted above has nearly zero FPS hiccups so anyone who has a PC that can't run it can view to it's full potential. I still can't run Heretic by Kyle Sloane. Not even at 20FPS.

I enjoyed your smooth ride! Felt a ton of airtime on top of every large inversion! Reverse POV was more excellent and it made me feel riding! :)

Yes ban for triple post :P
Kidding, but its looking very good, especially in that video.
And this topic was not even close to being considered dead, especially with all the other really old posts being brought back these days.

Bringing this topic back from the dead. I couldn't help but notice some of you haven't updated your reviews. I'd appreciate it if you'd give Firefly another run for the Revisions I made. I believe I made the ride more realistic and improved it's pacing by getting rid of the dreaded complete stops. Take a look over the changes in the description and update your review if you feel it changed your score. Thanks!

I do take your feedback seriously and make minor adjustments that can help ride experience without changing the trackwork or layout.
