Early this morning, the City of Sandusky experienced a water main break on the main line that supplies water to Cedar Point. The City of Sandusky is currently working to repair the system. Without our normal water supply, and due to safety concerns, the park is unable to open today. All guest tickets will be honored on future dates this season. Please visit cedarpoint.com for the latest updates.
I remember when Holiday World had a water main problem. They literally ordered case upon case of canned pepsi products and water. The first day it happened, I went as a guest. They had people with plastic cards opening cans of sodas. The next few days I went in as an employee. To save water, they shut down Pilgrim's Plunge for the week and my job for most of the day was to stand in front of the sign and explain it's closure. Ah, good times back in the 2012.
Lol I am mad that I only got one day of CP. Got there Thursday night and planned on staying till Sunday. Was told the park was closed and was on the road within an hour. Took 2 hours to get off the peninsula though. Such a sad 7 hour drive back after that I'll find you next time CK
And I'm going to miss like 20 hours of pay. I'm pretty pissed.
Under state labor law, they may still have pay you if you were supposed to work. you may want to look at the laws for Ohio, but in Minnesota you still get paid.
Your employer is required by law to pay you overtime. You're not an exempt employee.
