Then it shall be done!

We won't know when we're doing things, i don't think, until we're actually in L.A. and we'll take it on a day by day basis. So, if there are days/dates that are specifically good for you, lets us know and we can arrange that we'll do KBF on that day!

A question about traveling to/from SFMM.

The metro system looks a little poop but seems like it covers us for pretty much everything we want in terms of within L.A. itself, however it looks like total rubbish to try to get to SFMM by public transport (Our hotel is in Long Beach). Looks as if it would take over 2 and a half hours each way with about 4 changes and would mean we'd have to leave the park early.

Looks like the cheapest/easiest way would be to hire a car, this would mean the journey would be a more reasonable hour and 10 minutes. However, I really didn't want to have to hire a car.

So I was just wondering if anyone knew of any kind of direct bus/coach service that SFMM might be running directly from parts of L.A.? When we were in New York, there was a direct bus service from one of the train stations in New York, out to SFGAdv. which took about an hour and a half and was a reasonable price. I previously thought SFMM would have something similar from L.A., but I can't find anything online, other than the tour buses which seem to have horrific departure times to and from the park.

The more I look around the internet, the more it seems like we should probably just hire a car for the whole 10 days we're there. Hiring a Focus costs ?????250 for the whole 10 days and it's a car I know, as I own one, even if everything would be on the wrong side of the car lol. It's just that I didn't really want to have to do that...

As far as I know it is probably best to hire a car

[lol] You would never make it alive on the metro system from Long Beach to SFMM. Rent a car, should be 45min to an hour in car from Long Beach to SFMM. You could also use Uber but that would cost you like your arm lol

When you're in Vegas you can check out Red Rocks, which is quite pretty and very near Vegas. If you've really got time to kill, I highly recommend Valley of Fire State Park. It's a multicolored mess of a place and the super red rocks are used for lots of movies that are trying to represent Mars. Also most car commercials in the desert are filmed at Valley of Fire. It's around an hour and a half north of Las Vegas near Overton, Nevada.

It's a really stunning place and my favorite spot in the entire world. I'm kind of "into" arid regions though, so if getting toasted isn't your thing it may not be. Do a google image search of the place.

When you are in Vegas, if you are still interested in coasters, I would check out the NYNY coaster, the rides on the top of the Stratosphere, and Adventuredome in Circus Circus. El Loco at Adventuredome was a fantastic coaster! But if nothing else, check out the rides on the top of the Stratosphere, those were the best out of all the rides in Vegas in my opinion!

Eh Adventure Dome was alright I guess when I visited - to be fair you can ride an El Loco in the UK (Flamingo Land) so if you were just going for that as someone from the UK probably not so worth it!

Only having 4 days in Vegas, I don't know if we'll be able to get through all the things mentioned above, but we'll give it a go!

Stratosphere, NYNY, and Adventuredome takes about 3 hours if you are just doing the coasters. It's not crazy.
