Infinity - Turbo [UPDATE June 26 2014]

What's up commenters and lurkers!

If you've hopped into the cc chat you will know that I share the progress of my lesser known or even unknown rides to get feedback and also for fun, so pop in sometimes, say hello

I needed to take a break from Nordland and do something different. So here is my new project: Infinity.

It's fast, it's slow, it's forceful, it's relaxing. This has been one of the most fun rides to make so far because of the layout and it's only going to get better. I plan to be adding custom triggered audio in certain places in the ride and I also hope to have someone make a few 3D objects if the time comes that they are needed. I will take care of lighting and such, I will also take care of the environment which will be set at dusk and will look quite beautiful once I'm done.

As usual, comments, questions, and concerns are always welcomed and appreciated

Well unfortunately I just realized the way I WAS going to do the spine will not work. I'll either need to make them with freenodes and beams or not at all and go the simple route with the really thick spine. What do you guys think?

Looks good Turbo - a tad unrealistic given the cost to build this beast however!

As in the spline that you have on the launch? I think the thick spine will be okay - otherwise there might be a 3D option?

Eh honestly I don't think so. The max height is at 53 meters while much bigger rides have been built. Even after the supports are finished, terrain is done and the theme is good I'm pretty sure it'd cost less than some of the hyper's and giga's out there today.

I'm going to try the thick spine and post what it looks like tomorrow.

Mmmhm might be the angles then I guess giving me a false sense of height. However, hypers have much more simplistic supports (with the exception of Steel Dragon obviousely but thats $52 Million dollars worth of ride) which some lot of this ride, with the inversions, isn't going to benefit from. I mean, Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket cost $45 million - and given the amount you put into theming you put into rides I think it's quite comparable.

Actually this ride will have minimal theming. I only plan to theme the station, queue, and plaza. The rest will be in natural looking terrian

Quite bummed about the spine. Oh well, Here's what the new one looks like

It'll be for high forces and for big top-pieces of gaps between supports (haven't placed them up here yet)

I think that spine looks pretty nice . You could always try layering the track with another track style to try and get an interesting spine. I could also help with 3ds' if you want.

Sup, here's a little update on the spine work. I'll be doing a lot with it and it is already coming out nicely






And another update, Afro85 is working on some 3D stuff for the ride, I won't be sharing that but I will say that it is coming along quite nicely

Woah it's all jazzy and stuff nice work I like the station. Reminds me of Millennium's station for some reason.
