Hi!

NightwindElf brought to my attention Survival Bracelets. These are bracelets made out of parachute cord (paracord). I picked up some paracord and made a couple of them to see how difficult they were to make. Then I went to Google around what these typically sell for and was rather shocked at what they go for. Quite a bit of paracord goes into each as well as time to make them and seeing that they are quite popular, I could personally make and sell them for a third of the price. Here's a link to some of the ones they sell online:

Those go for $25 plus shipping. I could make those for CC members for $8 each plus shipping. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in something like this? Currently I have only 2 colors, black and blue but if there's enough interest for other colors, I could get other colors and custom make them for you. I would use side release buckles for them. Here's a picture of the few that I've made:

The one standing on the left could be like a keychain thingy. The top one doesn't use a buckle, I think it could, I would have to tinker around with that one more. The other ones do use a side release buckle so they're easy to put on.

So, anyone would perhaps be interested in these? I'd charge you $8 each plus whatever shipping is to your place. I would take payment thru PayPal. Let me know!

I would buy. I LOVE paracord haha, the last time I went camping one of my goals was to make a bow and arrow using only wood, a knife, paracord, and fire. It actually came out not too bad, able to shoot about 20 meters. My friends bow caught a fish which was pretty cool.

That was just my first attempt though. This year I intend to make a much stronger and much more accurate bow. I can provide a pic of my first bow and arrow if people want to see it.

I say this because paracord has a LOT of applications and is fantastic for survival things!

braiding 3 paracord strings seemed to provide the best result for flexibility and strength (you get the strings by opening up the cords in the pic shown by oscar)
