The footers make a path that really is too long to be a plausible water slide.

Wide footers mean either 2 things, A. It will be tall, or B, the trains will be very heavy. If this is the case, you are looking at either a Flyer or Wingrider.

That is a good call Oscar. A lot of things tell me that this could (unfortunately?) be an expansion to the water park.

Large investment- water parks cost a lot to make.
Its right next to the current smaller one- could be an expansion
Large footers- usually means water slide or strata coaster, I think we know which is more likely :P
''66 days at sea'' just shouts water park at me.
The large lines on that drawing look two far apart to represent coaster track, it looks more like a water slide.

It would be a shame if it is, it would be nice to see a new coaster there.

Jeez Bouncypip11, I totally overlooked those details. This does point to water park expansion more than a new rollercoaster now that I think about it.
That's unfortunate, that place is overdue for a new coaster.

Holiday World has officially came out and said that this will be a centralized expansion to Thanksgiving.

There's that:

Plus everything right now is based on the idea of Thanksgiving with the Mayflower having set sail for 66 days hence the 66daysatsea.com promotional. In the video he says "Starting with" so you can for sure assume that this new coaster is going to be based in Thanksgiving possibly recycling Plunge's station.

Hmm interesting. I really don't know what this could be now.
I wish Cedar Point did stuff like this to help tease their new rides.

Update!
Like many, I have been following the daily updates on 66DaysAtSea, Holiday World's teaser site for their 2015 project. That leads me to starting at an awful lot of clouds, leading me to believe that the park is building a giant moon bounce for next season.

Nah, not really. As the new clues come each day I find myself looking hard at what's being given to fans, but honestly I haven't made too much progress.

Perhaps being at the park to actually see what is going on would help? That's exactly what a writer for the Dubois County Herald did, and one of the photos they reported is quite revealing.

Most of the construction work is currently focused on the giant open area extending upward from the water slide tower seen in the aerial above. The photo I'm speaking of pretty clearly shows what I would wager are roller coaster footers being dug, complete with wire frames and a cement truck on site.

So it looks like the moon bounce theory doesn't hold any water, but speaking of that the park has still kept the lagoon from Giraffica in place, along with the ride's station. To be reused for the 2015 project, perhaps?

Until we get more answers we will just have to keep checking out 66DaysAtSea.com, and certainly keep an eye on the work going on Holiday World!

The footers out in the field look like Banshee's. Just noticed it Thursday.

But apparently when I bring it up on CoasterBuzz (How I loathe that website at times.) I'm ridiculed.

The whole site is full of self-righteous, poignant, arrogant, know-it-alls. Come July 24th, I'll never touch that site again.

Here's the article minus the photos:

"I??????ll never forget how much my siblings and I used to pester my father about what was coming.

I wish I could calculate just how many times we asked him, ??????C??????mon, can you at least give us a hint??????? He??????d say something incredibly vague that gave absolutely nothing away like, ??????It??????s big.?????? (Well, duh, everything we do here, we kind of ??????do big.??????)

So I guess the reason I haven??????t written anything in a while is that I??????m not very good at dropping hints. And yes, I??????m totally going to blame this one on my dad for never giving me any good hints (while we??????re at it, I think I now blame him for how terrible I am at riddles, too).

Everything I think of seems to be way too obvious. I can??????t just dive into this hinting thing.

Day 13 of 66 Days at Sea The good news is: I haven??????t had to do any hinting. We??????ve got our ??????Head-Hinter Extraordinaire?????? Paula writing about the voyage to the New World at 66DaysAtSea.com. And she??????s an expert (she still has people trying to figure out what??????s in the mastiff??????s jowls).

The mastiff sketch from 66 Days at Sea Paula??????s hints are the mind-tricks. Some of them are so good, even I don??????t catch them??????and I know what the project is!

While you can sort through the 66 Days journal posts to the point of distraction, there??????s another site that??????s creating a lot of speculation: our construction site.

We??????ve seen Guests taking pictures from our Hyena Falls tower to get a better look (goodness knows you can??????t see much in the blur while riding The Voyage).

While we could do what other parks have done and put up a fence (which probably wouldn??????t do much good anyway with that nice spectator tower), we??????ve always been a little different.

Instead of making you work so hard for those hints out in our field, we??????re going to make it just a bit easier. We??????re setting up a webcam that??????s going to provide a live stream of our construction site??????24/7. (Keep in mind that some of those 24 hours are going to be at night ?????? when it??????s dark and all, so you??????re probably not going to get much insight from 10pm to 6am.)

Here??????s a bonus hint for you: We??????re making the announcement on July 24 (Christmas Eve in July) because we have a delivery coming the very next day. Yes, our Christmas in July is going to be bigger than ever before!

But hey, there might be some things you can figure out ahead of time just from our footers.

Or not.

Several coaster enthusiasts think they??????ve already found some answers from the Hyena Falls tower view.

Our ConstructionCam should go live this coming week, so the clues are going to keep on coming as we prepare the site for the delivery of our best Christmas gift ever.

I??????ll be watching. Will you?'

sticking with my oversized pirate ship prediction. Nothing beats a 300 ft tall pirate ship.

I feel the clues point to a suspended coaster with things like being "below deck" (under the rails) and "wind rushing by" keep coming up in the clues. maybe a flying coaster.

With all the talk of rocking and unexpected shifting, I would almost expect a swinging coaster. Would explain the oversized footers, too.

Okay guys I really don't think you can tell a coaster company by a footer.
