I used to think that the entrance to the corckscrew on a good deal of Vekoma rides was horrendous. Then I saw this:

I know that this is quite hard to see, because it is from a video that was made in the 90's or something, but check out this transition(or lack of it)

The coaster was called ''moonsault scramble'' and is now defunct, for obvious reasons.

Didn't Moonsault Scramble pull over 6 G's?

Quite possibly, it carried a tonne of speed through that inversion which is a high G inversion in its own right!

I think that it pulled 6.5! I was designed and manufactured really badly.

According to Wikipedia and a few other places, it pulled 6.2

I always thought these 2 rides had the worst transitions.

Funny how Arrow make perfect corkscrews yet shouldn't even be allowed to attempt a dive loop.

Same coaster model as in the first post. Indeed one of the worst transition ever!

But here comes some competitors for the worst transition title:

Look at the corkscrews' entrance:

And dat sidewinder... Ugh!

The last one looks like someone trying to draw an SLC with a crayon.

It's beyond me how the manufactures let some of these go, especially the SLC that KingRCT posted. Surely they would have thought ''we should re-do this section''

Those knockoff SLC's are apparently prone to valleying, so that park chopped down the support and now it's left with that transition lol

Goudurix was build by Vekoma. ;)

The worst part is that the transition I showed IS a redo!

Here is what it looked like beforehand:

As Coasterkidmwm stated, it was valleying so they did cut the support and retrack the thing.

The Canobie Corkscrew at Canobie Lake Park is actually very smooth for an old arrow, almost little to no headbanging.
