Hi everyone,

thought I'd share my thoughts about Wodan here.
Rode it about two weeks ago with some friends. [:D]

It was my first GCI. Rode it in the front row in the morning to check out the layout, which was unique and a lot of fun. I was a bit disappointed by the forces though, and hoped some backseat rides later on would deliver more. The last backseat ride just before park closing (around 7.30 pm) was indeed a lot better than the previous, I was surprised by some nice little lats here and there, but I hate to say that the airtime was still a bit lacking. As it is, the ride is really no competition for my No1 Tonnerre de Zeus, and I liked Twister @ Gr?????????naLund and Thundercoaster @ Tusenfryd better as well last year.
The first drop deserves special mention, though. Its shaping and progression is wonderful, and you float all the way down. One of my favorite first drops.

However, the ride is really enhanced by the theming. Sadly, I don't have a picture of the station which is really impressive, and so is the queue, at least as soon as you get inside. I won't spoil anything here. For the total package, I'd give Wodan 8.5/10. It's really what you would expect from a woodie at EP : a well-planned and charming representant of its kind, but not as forceful as it should be. I still hope it was too early to ride it though, and it may be better in a year or so.

The whole day was amazing all in all. The queues were really short except for Wodan, and the weather was perfect. What was quite strange though that on my second Silverstar ride, when I took off my shoes and put them in the locker (as always, and as I had also done previously that day) the ride OPs obliged me to take them back and put them on again [lol] I had to tie them while the train was already rolling out of the station. After all the commotion, the OPs didn't check the tightness of my lapbar so I got some nice airtime on that ride [lol]

On to some pics!
