Whelp Alton Towers opens in 3 days so for the UK at least the Theme Park Season is upon us!

What Parks is everyone planning to go to this year? Anyone going to ride something new in their home park?

Personally I'll be hoping to get to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park this year for certain - hopefully actually get to ride The Smiler this year!

I'm also planning a trip to Paris so should be able to get on Oz'ris at Parc Astrix which should be pretty awesome :D

the usual suspects Knotts, SFMM, Disneyland, California Adventure. 3 of which have already been done, only SFMM left on the list :)

I'm going to Las Vegas May 21-25, so I'll be hitting all of the roller coasters there plus the new El Loco!
I'm spending a weekend at SFGAm, June 6-8, much Goliath such Raging Bull many Viper.
Valleyfair all summer long.
And I'm still possibly going to hit CP and KI if I can make it work sometime this August. Uncertain of that one.

Got my Platinum Pass for Cedar Fair so I'll be going to Kings Dominion (my home park), Carowinds and Dorney Park. I usually do the Busch Gardens Williamsburg thing so it's been a while since I've been to King Dominion and they have 2 new coasters for me, Intimidator 305 and Dominator. I've never been to Dorney Park or Carowinds so everything is new. Really looking forward to my first flyer and my first shuttle coaster while I'm at Carowinds. The girlfriend, however, is not as thrilled about the flyer as I am. While she loves Loch Ness and The Griffon, she knows my favorite is Alpengeist, and the look I got when that one finally stopped was priceless (her first words were "YOU RODE THAT 5 TIMES IN A ROW?? What is wrong with you?"). Anything that really gets me going causes her a little trepidation.

I'm also heading to Myrtle Beach in a few weeks, and there is a small park there with a couple of coasters, a small woody and wild mouse, that I hope to hit up.

There is also a chance I may swing by Six Flags America if I can.

Always wanted to go to Kemeh for Boardwalk Bullet. Something about that ride really appeals to me!

Yeah, from what I've seen thats really the only thing there of interest, but in my opinion the most unique of the gravity group coasters, not that they dont all have their uniqueness just that one stands out as different.
What are these for?

Venturing out to the east coaster for some Six Flags America, Kings Dominion, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg! First time at all of those parks!
Then headed back to Six Flags Great America with GerstlCrazy to ride me some Goliath about 50 - 60 times.

I know that I will get to at least one park this year. That one being Dorney since I work there. Other parks I might get to include, Hershey, Six Flags Great Adventure, King's Dominion, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Six Flags New England, Lake Compuance, Morey's Piers, and a few other parks in the New England area if I can snag a few days off in a row.

Holding off on Knoebles till 2015 for obvious reasons.

Cedar Point, Disneyland, Kings Island, and Busch Gardens Willamsburg. I'm going to Cedar Point because it's my home park. SO GLAD I LIVE IN OHIO!!!!! Never been on Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, and Mantis. I don't look forward to riding Mantis. Going to Kings Island to try Banshee, Diamondback, and all the other coasters. Last year I went to Kings Island, but it was such a busy day that I only had time to ride the Beast, Vortex, and Backlot Stunt Coaster. Liked the Beast and Backlot, but didn't like Vortex. Trying it again this year. Going to Disneyland because I'm going to California this June. Really looking forward to riding California Screamin'. Going to BGW because I'm going to Virginia this summer. Can't wait to ride Loch Ness Monster, Apollo's Chariot, Alpengeist, and Griffon!!!!!!!

I plan to go to Six Flags Great Adventure, Dorney Park, Kings Dominion, Cedar Point on my own time.
Then going on a Coaster Tour in August, we go to Kennywood, Hershey Park, Cedar Point twice, and now most likely Knoebels for Flying Turns.
Then late in the year, going to California for Knotts, Magic Mountain, and possibly Disney.

Gonna be a fun year and it starts on April 12 with Great Adventure and then Kings Dominion on the 18th!

I have to say goodbye to colossus at SFMM, before whatever happens to it.
Will it be crowded on its last day? I know the second week of August crowds start to die down, but IDK.

Kasi if you are going to Hershey with your family than I want to tell you the park is very large, with no mass transportation system so you will walk a good distance through the course of the day. However, this is the only downside.

I think all the older coaster crazies will be there. So I would expect an increase in crowds on that day and the days prior to it. So i'd get there ASAP if I were you.

This year, I'll be heading out to Kennywood three more times. Once for a general visit in a few weeks, then Phantom Fright Nights (which are awesome!), and then again for the new Holiday Lights! :D

As for next year, I'm pushing for either Hershey, Kings Island, or Cedar Point. Haven't been to either in a long while.

If you had to pick either Hershey, KI, or CP, clearly there is only one answer. Good ol Cedar Point!
