Holiday World Adds a Launched WingRider - Pics and Video!

When you guys say flyer, do you mean, suspended sit down? Or Flyer(Tatsu, Manta )?

I say it's a suspended B&M coaster, like banshee. That's my guess, I will stick to it.

Has no one thought of the idea of a launching woodie? The idea and technology has been around for a few years but has yet to actually been built. It would certainly be one of a kind while still keeping the Holiday World atmosphere

Woody's don't cost that much, even really big ones. You can buy 3 large woody's for the price of one I305 or Gatekeeper.
Sure the maintenance costs later are huge, but initially not that much.

Is $25 million for just the ride or the whole expansion? If its the whole expansion then theres plenty of stuff that money can be spread out across, such as paving a whole new part of the park, shops and restraunts, future flat rides theming, landscaping

If their bragging about price tag, doesn't it usually imply the money will be used mostly on the ride? Or am I wrong?

I'm not saying most of it wont go towards the ride, I'm just pointing out theres also a lot other things involved with an expansion, just like with gate keeper CP got a new entrance plaza, granted that was relatively cheap compared to the coaster but still. In any case we'll know what it is in just a few days. I may be wrong but this and Knoebles are the first with official 2015 announcements?

I had an old coaster in the original Nolimits that was a launched woodie, it's definitely a unique and cool idea if it became real.

I feel like they will build a Steel coaster now because it is long overdue, which would incorporate the whole suspended water ride thing as well.

It is a steel coaster based on the evidence provided.
It's got a price tag of $22 Million
It stretches over a long distance though out the clearing and into the forest.
It has B&M style footers.

This is everything we know right now. It's not much but it's something! Haha

So I talked to Paula, and she said it would be best not to record the annoucement
HOWEVER, I will be taking videos of an overview of the park and yes, I will give it to the CoasterCrazy YouTube account. The announcement will be streamed live at Holiday World's website, starting at 8:15 and will be posted on their YouTube channel after the announcement.

those footers look too close together to be a suspended. almost looks like a sit down out and back. I swear though, I read somewhere it said they are NOT building a steel coaster. it also doesn't look like they are making any places for water.

I'm confused why it would be best not to record it? If they are going to do it, why can't you? Just wondering

I'm guessing Copyright She said, I can embed the video in my post though. Here's what she said to me:
