You all had to wait a bit for the ratings to be finished, but now it's time to continue and start with round 2.

This round, you will have to use the 4d-train. But, you can also put it in reverse, lock the spinning and pretend you're building a wingrider. The rules are listed below:

Package must not be password protected.

Train must be 4D coaster, but can be put in reverse in order to mimic a Wing-rider.

Must run 2 trains.

Trains must have at least 7 cars.

Track length must be at least 1000 m.

Max track height is 60 m when the coaster is unfrozen.

Only 1 lift allowed. Max speed 20 km/h. No launches allowed.

No supports or track can go outside the template when coaster is unfrozen.

Station building must be fully within area marked with X, when the coaster is frozen.

The other area has two ??????fences?????? . No track or supports can go through these fences. All track and supports must go over these fences. The fences are virtual, so they don??????t have to be included in the clearance tests and they cannot be used as supporting structure.

Template:
http://www.coastercrazy.com/20367/2014- ... 2-template

Match-up

In this round, you will go face to face with another player. Only one of you will advance to the finals.
The pairings are:
Pair 1 Afro85 ?????? geek87de
Pair 2 PatrickCrowne ?????? SkyArrow
Pair 3 Bouncypip11 ?????? TheDarkStar
Pair 4 Bottom_Feeder_13 ?????? efproductions11

Deadline
All coasters must be uploaded to the exchange before or on August 10. Don??????t submit your track at the last minute, take a safety margin in case the site has troubles. Also, make sure your track is not password-protected. Please include the [NLT] tag so I can find your tracks easily.

FAQ
Q: Is it allowed that the track runs in between the two fences? same with supports?[/quote]
A: Yep, the track can go next to, between, along and parallel to the fences. Just not trough.

Q:Can we use tunnels?
A:Tunnels can be used, but the track cannot go below 0 meters. So if you want to use tunnels you have to raise the ground first.

Q:Can the coaster also be exactly 60m tall or should it be less than it?
A: The coaster can be exactly 60m, but be careful, it only takes a tiny shift to get over the limit.

So round starts right now and I'll able to answer any questions today and tomorrow. After that I'm gone for a week and a half, and will probably not be online.

Also, please note that the template is not just for the people still in the contest. If you want to have a go at a nice challenge, go ahead and try out the template.

Just to be sure.. the 60m height limit when unfrozen does it mean "only the track" or also vertices and heartline should be inside the limit?

Can the track go over the top of the fences? I assume so since they don't go to the top of the area

If they couldn't, then what would be the point of the rest of the template, since it's blocked off horizontally by said fences?

I have a question that might interest all contestant. In the image there is an example where support get really close to the fence. As you can see when unfrozen the footer slightly touch the fence even if the position has 0,5 m offset. Is it ok or can be disqualified??

Hyyyper is still away - from what he said he should be back towards the end of this week.

TheDarkstar - I'd guess yes due to him answering this question:

Q:Can we use tunnels?
A:Tunnels can be used, but the track cannot go below 0 meters. So if you want to use tunnels you have to raise the ground first.

Two more questions...
1. the coaster must not touch or cross the fences... when it s frozen or unfrozen? i have a turn that is very close to the fence, but unfrozen everything is fine :)
2. does storage track has to be inside the marked area as well? because its more or less theming....

I can't even fit storage track in mine :P. I have only just fit the track in, I still have no idea how I will make the supports stay within the area. I'm not looking forward to when I do a clearance check....

I found some internet!

When the coaster is unfrozen the template limit will be checked. Only the rails, backbone and ties must be inside the template. Heartline and nodes can go outside. Footers (unfrozen) must be entirely inside the template.

3ds trains are allowed, but I must be able to ride it as a 4d coaster in order to read out the G's correctly.

Terraforming is allowed.

Storage tracks can go outside the template, as it is not part of the layout.

I probably won't have internet until saturday, and then I will answer your questions ASAP.

That is such a relief. I would have assumed the storage track had to be completely within, giving myself yet another layer of challenge.

some 2.5 weeks left for this round. Any of you brave enough to show some of your work?

On another note, I'll probably be unavailable from the 28th until the 3rd so if you have questions, ask them before monday.

Especially this bit right here.

You won't know which way is up if you had 3 guesses.
I am thinking about a name that's quantum or atomic physics related.

If we want to use some 3d can it go over the fences and out of the template?
