Hello!
My first post on the forums and I would like to introduce myself!

My name is chris But please just call me coaster Tornado OR TornadoLord
(God I am too used to my old username for sites..)

I consider myself a game developer but at the moment. Lets just say I have not been making games. I been making addons for games instead. More specifically minecraft server plugins.

I have the ability to make games. Its just that I been working on a game server for a while I had no time to work on games.

I know the following languages
Programming Languages
  • Java - High Level of skill
  • Python - Learning
  • C++ - Lost skill due to lack of use
  • C# - Learning (Most of it is similar to C++)

Web Dev
  • HTML - Moderate
  • HTML5 - OK (Just need reference to current new nodes)
  • Javascript - Moderate
  • PHP - OK (This language has too much to memorize. Always have the docs handy)
  • CSS - Moderate (Keeping docs handy for css properties)
  • CSS3 - OK (Just need references to new properties)
  • LESS - OK This is a dynamic language that is compiled into CSS code.

Favorite Libraries
  • JavaScript: Jquery
  • JavaScript: Jquery UI

Welcome :) Is your main interest in NL creating rides or are you planning to delve into scripting to see what you can make?

What minecraft plugins have you made?

Most of my plugins are private on a server I run. Eventually We will have public released plugins.

Other than that. There is one that I am making called WorldInfo that JourneyMap will hook into to allow multi world support.

Its not just for journey map. Its more of an API minimaps can hook into if they will.

This plugin though is not publicly available until I get the abstraction completed (Abstraction to allow implementing it as a forge mod also)

My main interest will be in creating rides however since the scripting language is extremely similar to java I might get into that pretty heavily.

I might not be able to contribute a lot due to my schedule on my development of my server. I mainly joined the community for when I get spare time and I am able to play around with NL2. I recently bought it.

I am not too unfamiliar with the editor because of using NL1 demo a while back.. A lot has changed though!

Welcome to CoasterCrazy!
Since you seem to be into Coding, here is a forum you should really check out. I think you would be a fantastic addition to the scripters on this site!

Interesting, I did toy with some Bukkit plugins myself, again just to use on my own servers. You should be right at home with NL2 scripting. You seem to know more than I do and I've managed to model and script my own trains. If you know a bit of coding and scripting you can achieve incredible things with NL2. I look forward to seeing what you achieve with it. No pressure ;)
