Speaking of Fat-checking, but at a non-six flags park:
So out of the blue, like literally The Voyage at Holiday World got a test seat. I almost took a picture of it because it is such an ugly piece of crap. For the past 5 years at least, there was no test seat.

The Last time I was at Six Flags St.Louis, it looked like Snorlax was trying to get a ride in Ninja and I felt so bad for the guy after they told him he wouldn't be able to ride.

Eh, it's just precautionary so that they can have a better excuse when someone is too fat to ride, they can say, you should have tried the test seat at the front.

If they still had the video up, it would be nice to share, but they deleted the video off of their youtube channel

I think I'll take a minute to complain and talk about what I find wrong with Six Flags.

Loud, awful pop-ey music
bright reds and oranges make the parks feel hotter
concrete midways that are way too wide
not enough trees
not enough shade
nowhere near enough benches
the parks are filthy
not enough bathrooms
not enough landscaping
not enough water features to cool down the air
the shops arent air conditioned
the shops sell poop souveniers
everything is over priced except the season pass
the food is beyond awful. There should be more sit down places to eat a nice meal and relax
most restaurants are not air conditioned
there is a wasp problem at every restaurant
there isn't anything healthy in sight
the garbage cans are routinely overflowing
there is trash everywhere
the theming is minimal or nonexistent
there are no family rides. Yes they have big coasters (yay!) and kiddie rides (yay?) but no rides that the family can ride together. Okay, they might have a log flume.
They totally ignore dark rides, which are good for families, and air conditioning
the queues are atrocious. Zig zags baking in the sun or with minimal shade.
awful crown control
incompetent employees (okay, they're kids hired for a summer job)
frequent ride break downs
bare minimum maintenence on all rides, leading to break downs
they think that repainting a ride constitutes a new attraction (The Bizarros)
Almost all the rides desperately need a paint job
even water rides leave you baking in the sun
awful parking
you need to pay to get a good parking spot
I say ketchup on the ceiling at SFNE, then it was still there a week later.
with the queues, line jumping is easy and not enforced
they attract a lower class of people; the kind that is okay with line jumping and being rude
When people are hot and hungry, they are rude
Horrid customer service
a non-stop stressful and "on the go action" feel
no place to dry off after water rides
low capacity water rides

The only good thing about Six Flags parks are the coasters. But once the coaster is built, it's ignored and so is the guest experience. I hate Six Flags. They fail at everything that a company like Kennywood or Disney can do without effort.

Which six flags are you specifically talking about? Great Adventure has a lot of these issues, but not all of them.

I think that pretty much sums up a lot of restaurants, food courts, and food stands, so that isn't just a Six Flags problem.

Speaking of bad maintenance, at Gadv bizarro was only repainted 6 years ago and it looks like it was painted 12 years ago. I don't even know how that's possible. And have they ever repainted nitro? It has been SCREAMING for a paint job for as long as I can remember. And maybe change the color scheme a bit so it can look as pretty as Behemoth :D. Kingda Ka only uses 1/4th of it's station, Superman either is broken down or has a long as hell line, Batman NEEDS an A/C in the queue NOW, (seriously, I've seen people pass out in there) El Toro, nothing wrong there, GL was just repainted for the relocation 3 years ago- I rode it a month apart and it went from silky-smooth B&M, to being accompanied by Muhammad Ali head-boxing you the whole time, giving you a headache for the rest of the day. Just pointing all the flaws I see with the RIDES there, and I could do a whole lot more with the other stuff. I mean, for one, parking is 25 dollars when at KD we paid 15. Don't get me wrong. I love Gadv but it has MANY flaws
It's been a long time

Parks like Lake Compounce and Kennywood have healthy sandwich options. Canobie Lake has an italian restaurant. Disney's food is out of this world. When it comes to theme park food, Six Flags is just a slight notch above the local yearly carnival, and far more expensive.

I think the synchronized running of Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka will end in a year or two. When they tried to race the Batman and Robin trains of Chiller, that only lasted a season. They cited overload to Jackson's power grid as the reason for launching them separately, but that is an easy fix. I think they wanted to stop killing the capacity of a coaster that is inherently designed to have a limited capacity (shuttle type).

Great Adventure's security always seemed satisfactory to me. The last time I went there was several years ago, and while waiting for Nitro a guy got out of line to get a beer for himself and a soda for his son-in-law. He tried to slip past everyone to rejoin his son and wife, but I just blocked the way with my body and tried to ignore him. He eventually got mad and tried to grab me in a choke hold from behind (he dropped his son's soda to do this but still held onto the beer). I elbowed him off me and threw him to the ground. Security got there quickly and escorted him and his family out of the park.

Sauron, they never got it work, the state wouldn't let them, for safety. They were worried that items from Kingda Ka would fall off and hit Zumanjaro riders. But, they are working on getting them to run together next year, at the Riding Of The Bull Event, Ka was closed, Zu was open, and Zu would run and they would time empty Kingda Ka trains to drop down with Zu. And Zu was in auto and ka was in manual. They are planning next year to add a net to the top of Ka, won't look pretty, but they don't care, cause it's six flags, and then they should be able to run both rides together.

^ You bet I did!
It was OK, never got on El Toro cause of the line, and rain, so much rain. But got to watch a pretty cool storm in the Nitro Station, so it was pretty cool!
