New site involvement ideas!!!!

These are some ideas I've had for a while and would like to see what people think, especially given the buzz about a group recreation park and with the revival of coaster tennis

1. Official CoasterCrazy environment and park templates

How we have the scrapyard, can we pleeease have a template...yard? I think it would really help the community of this site to have a series of templates that can be used as preset environments for designers. Terraforming, park construction (queues, paths, lighting, 3ds etc) can be really hard and discouraging. I think it would be a huge asset to the site if there was a section of various template environments for designing coasters, and official templates for contests! Boundaries for use in contests can still be changed around to prevent from importing premade rides, and general uploads would look a great deal better

2. I'd LOVE to see a community park or series of parks!

How about a park contest with 3-4 members in a group building a park and voting on the best overall park? I have yet to see a contest like that, let's be the first!

The other part of this is to present a CoasterCrazy themepark! Everyone has such great ideas for what amusement parks should do in RL and we now have the tools to make those suggestions a virtual reality! Let's band together and build a few small official CoasterCrazy parks \o/ We can revise, update, add/remove attractions and really manage our own site themeparks, lets put some of our ideas into practice and see how they come together

3. Flat ride database similar to Shyguy's world's rct3 database

we have a lot of scattered NL2 flat rides out there we could list instead of hunting them out across the site.

There are many extremely talented people here! Here's to hoping we can brainstorm ideas such as these to strengthen the site and our community here as well as the rest of the NL2 world!

I like idea #2! I'll get started on Kennywood

I like the idea of a Coastercrazy park. People can contribute a coaster, a flat, or scenic elements to become a full blown park. Could be really cool if done right.

don't ask us, ask the coder. plus, more features=more money spent, something we don't exactly have in abundance right now.

Personally I feel (especially after nobody used the scrapyard) we need to prove that there is a demand for the stuff that requires additional site coding. All this stuff can be done via active threads that the owner keeps updated (such as a master scenery thread / flat ride thread and the CC big park).

I like the ideas though, keep em coming

the point would be to make your own! where is the creativity on trying to copy real coasters?

I think this are all great ideas.
As for a template yard, I would just use the scrapyard, it's basically the same thing, cause no one uses the scrapyard really.

These are all very good sounding ideas. As for the coder, he's MIA again.

Since the scrapyard isn't much in use that would be perfect! if anyone has environments or unused parks with 3ds they don't mind sharing with the site they can post them there for use
