Afro85's Thread! New Project!! UPDATE 25/01/15

Today, 16 August 2014, I want to give my tribute to the Rollercoaster Day by opening my official thread of stuff!!!

I'll start with something that came up the last hours, a wooden coaster inspired both by the old classics and the newest CGI
I don't have a name for it, suggestions are welcome!
If u have question about the ride's specs feel free to ask me!

Authentic! This really makes me want to ride! Has got the beautiful supports, too!

Sorry for the double post!
This is the first image of my project... as you can see is hard to tell what is gonna be but I can anticipate that there are already 9 Coasters divided in 3 areas!
I'm gonna show more detailed photos soon as the work gets done....
This park will include 3d, support scenery, custom paint job on the default flat rides and anything else I'll be able to add without making my pc explode!
I'm excited about this I hope I can get as many suggestion and feedback as possible from you guys!
If someone is a good artist and would like to draw a map for this park, please let me know, that would be awesome!

Looks pretty expansive! The woodie looks especially good too - ar eyou going to add some custom bracing and supports to it?

I will add custom lateral bracing on the drop's turn. All coasters in the park are quite compact usually built in a rectangular area, I was thinking maybe to add one more coaster that cruise around the park!
The park will be themed around music and concerts. One area will be exclusively dedicated to my favorite band (I'll keep it as a surprise)
Another small area will contain 3 small fun rides with a stage for concerts in the middle. The names of these coasters are "The Circle Pit", "Pogo" and "Headbanger".
Last area will contain the wooden coaster "Wood 'n' Roll" , an original drop tower and one coaster that you may have already seen on my previous uploads!

One more thing, this park is my final project (for a while) since next month I'm moving to another country and I will not have all this spare time that I have right now. I admit that since January has been a incredible journey and this community made me feel part of something big! I will miss all of this while I'll be searching for a living in northern Europe! The bright side is that I'm finally gonna make the Scandi trip that I always wanted and share the experience with the CC community!

That woodie looks nice and compact and that park makes me think of Magic Mountain because of the Superman looking ride, nice job so far!

Proper wood and metal textures for the ship!


Here is the "band name" zone, the closest one is called "Ghost Rider" and is a Vekoma Motorcycle... I'll let you guess!

While we here at CoasterCrazy would prefer if you use the exchange for track files, I guess work in progresses that are like this can be in dropbox though.

I think that triple launched strata coaster, especially with that bridge right there, is a super cool idea. I know it's simple, but in real life launching side-by-side like that and flying up the spike by other trains would be insane.

Yes the red one is a stand up called Pogo!

Thanks for the feedback guys! At the moment I just moved to live in Denmark and I won't be able to work on this project for a while... But I'll be posting a record breaking wooden coaster on the 1st of Oct. for the final round of the tournament with some really interesting new techniques for scenery! I guess you want a teaser... So here you go!!!!

The park looks awesome and that NLT woodie looks like its going to be crazy! Awesome work man, I want to see this!

Is the mystery coaster in your park Avalerion?

Yes it is! At the moment is the biggest attraction of the park! Once I'm back in this project I'd like to keep the same coasters but completely change the park map layout and I'll need anyone's help for that!

Awesome - those tunnels look really cool on the far side of the lake!
