Whether you like it or not, an opinion is an opinion. Nobodies opinion is wrong because it's their own choice to make. Why is it such a big deal?

It's a high 5 plain and simple, it doesn't matter if its the first hybrid one, because GG has already done it. Just like SF marketing the new S&S as the first of its kind. It's a S&S Zacspin. It's poor marketing

How does that make it a bad roller coaster? Yes. Amusement parks overplay elements and achievements all of the time. It's for the stupid GP. I don't see how you let that take away from the fact that that moment is going to epic, especially on the green side. Ugh.

some of the transitions on TC look extremely awkward

This is an animated rendering.... if you've been breathing for the last 3 years, then you should know damn well by now that no RMC transition will ever disappoint.

and the barrel rolls on the RMC coasters are not something that's brand new. The 200 degree stall is on Wicked Cyclone

Seriously dude WHAT!? Did you even notice that the stall element on T.C. does 360 degrees, a full inverted rotation with a 180 degree pause. That has never been done before. Anywhere. And it will perform very differently from stalls that reverse the rotation that it entered with... awesome stuff.

What I hate about the revamps is their taking the wooden experience out of it.

If your mindset is literally
Texas Giant > New Texas Giant
Rattler > Iron Rattler
Medusa > Medusa Steel Coaster
Cyclone > Wicked Cyclone
AND COLOSSUS > Twisted Colossus
then I cannot do anything for you. That is too messed up, and you're talking to a guy who is passionate about classic roller coaster character and rough ridin' woodies and the whole oldies advocacy. The RMC horses are basically steel roller coasters yes but you should be able to admit that they are better roller coasters than those that they replace.

good points, i didn't even notice the stall.
The high five is also thrown in at a random moment, there no build up, it seems everything in this coaster is sudden and unexpected, which is awesome and rare. You usually see an element from miles away, but with TC, lots of parts are thrown in were I wouldn't expect.

If I'm coming off as rude or something I'm sorry, this is literally one of the worst days of my life. Just trying to keep myself together. I never said I hated the layout, It's not the most interesting RMC I've seen. That's all I'm saying.

Did anyone else notice that they didn't show ANY of the station/prelift section. Anyone who's been on Colossus will tell you that it kinda far from the lift. Interesting how that section will play out. Also the station showed be redesigned right?

You can see in this screenshot (that andreizsmart shared on another site) that there is a mini bump run, might help to make up to the "18 moments of air time" that they claim.

I noticed that in the video also. Those little bunny hops are definitely padding the '18 moments of airtime' number. I wonder if they'll deliver much of anything...

Twisted Colossus looks great, if truncated given there was originally 8600' of track or so. I think I would've been equally excited if the announcement was simply that they were tearing out the parking lot beneath Scream. In all seriousness, I hope the entire area gets a refresh - it's easy to forget that Goliath and Colossus are both resting on old parking spaces too >.>

I'll be at SFMM today, I'll try and see any new progress that has been done.
Hope I see an RMC logo somwhere :)

Anyone want any specific pics? Feel free to ask!

I miss that coaster.

And of course I'll get a ton of construction pics lol.
Seems I'm 10th in line to enter the park. Thank god for early entry. Those ten minutes let give you around two to three runs in on a popular coaster with absolutely no waiting.
Should be longer though.

Everytime I read Twisted Colossus I think of this one by Skyarrow http://www.coastercrazy.com/20343/Twisted-Tyrants
What are these for?

The problem with our early entry at Great Adventure is that they don't have the rides ready yet EVER and they don't open the lines until 10:40, they are so bad here. And either KK or Zumanjaro never opens until 11. I have never seen them both open at 10:30.

Makes me wish I lived in California. I want to get to SFNE with their new conversion, won't be as cool as this one but at least it's better than nothing on the east coast.

Wicked Cyclone will be much better IMO. I think the thing that has people hooked is the dual lift. Other than that it is a crappy ride with a crappy layout and terrible pacing.

How do you know it will have terrible pacing? most of the elements are low to the ground so the trains should fly through pretty fast
What are these for?
