Interesting, this trend of taking old rides and giving them extended life through changes that make them ride better. I have to say, I'm a fan of this move, although I always liked Mantis.

Front of a train is not the best position, it looks the best, but it's not as fun as the middle, it's wayyyy faster and forces are stronger in the middle, but for a last ride, the front is more memorable I guess.

They honestly could have this done by Halloween if they wanted to.

the repaint yeah, but not the station and hardware. I wonder if they have tested floorless trains on the track yet or are waiting until the offseason to do so. I also wonder if it rides smoother as a stand up with the new paintjob. GAH! they won't open it on a day I can ride it T____T. I'll have to sneak down there on a work day haha *cough* *cough*

They didn't paint the trim. Start the hype.

I wouldn't be so sure just yet... I doubt the same trims would fit the floorless trains right. But here's hoping for an untrimmed ride!

B&M possibly would want to keep track furniture as similar as possible throughout their rides to find efficiencies in design and construction - which would obviously would imply similar brakes etc.

The animation I think showed a magnetic brake added to the final brake run, but I may have been imagining things

Can someone tell me why B&M's have small trims along all their rides? Why don't they let them loose like other companies.
I know I should know this but I never bothered to learn :)
Don't be to hard on me lol

Because G forces. The faster a train moves, the higher the forces exerted on the riders will be. Different train loads have different speeds because fatties.

So I should go on MF with all my fat friends to have the best ride/airtime since MF doesn't trim?

Yes. In the evening after the axel oil is warm and extra runny. Make sure they all sit in the front and sit in the back

^lel

Also the trims give B&M and the park more control over the speed of the ride due to ride load, because B&M likes everything to stay consistent.

You do understand that new paint does not offer a smoother track experience... right? It's important that you understand that...

^Debatable. The new paint could provide a sort of "Lubrication."

Except that it doesn't. Something as minor as a paint job doesn't fix a terrible ride.

Fresh new surface over what was worn steel, could provide a minor, minor, minor, improvement, it's nothing substantial that you would directly notice.

I agree, new paint would smooth out a few bumps, until the wheels peel it off a week later.

Completely disagree - paint doesn't have the strength to act as a filler for steel deformities. It'll make no difference to the ride quality.
