The hallmark of the series of coasters I've attempted to make over the years and have never completed, I'm starting my recreation of Boulder Dash again. Except it doesn't fit in NL1, so I actually haven't started yet as I have to wait for NL2.

In the mean time I've been whipping up this highly-accurate-in-all-areas-no-one-cares-about 3d model of the station. Dimensions of the wood are exact to scale (save for parts that have to be updated). This is the highest level of detail and accuracy I've ever worked in, but I'm really happy with how it's coming out. Textures are placeholders, the real thing will be much more fancy. Mainly working on the transfer table right now to establish a sense of scale and reference points, and I also don't want to set the station floor until I know the slope of the track. Here are the first in a series of many pictures of something I'll probably never complete:

Wow I'm excited to see how you will create the great environment that this coaster has! Great job!

Amazing! I was hoping someone would tackle this. I got to ride it this past summer and I remember the experience vividly, both during the afternoon and at late night. Well done, thus far, on the objects!

I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm kind of just going and seeing what happens. I've been wanting to build this ride for 10 years, so I figure doing SOMETHING is better than not doing it at all because my prelift is importing a couple degrees off.

Speaking of riding it, Sunday was absolutely dead. I got 24 or 25 rides in. There were times I was the only person in the station. Perfect weather too. I'm in the 70s for total rides on the year.

I know this is probably too early for this type of criticism, but I'm pretty sure BDash's wood has a bit more yellow to it. You could also make it darker like it just rained, which imo is the best weather for the ride.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

The colors have to wait until a lot of other stuff gets done.

Your Boulder Dash coaster reminds me of my jet coasters with the ramp like hills.

Looks very good so far Freddie. Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with the ride to really offer any help but keep at it.

Started on some station railings today before work which is really starting to tie it together. Unfortunately I haven't done much with the track past C9 due to coming down with a bad cold. Hoping I'll have some free time coming up.

That station.... It looks incredible

That really rocks! I remember back in the days where the object creator was the number one tool to make some scenery... and it??????s still a very good scenery builder, yet. It??????s really not that easy to create with the OC something like you did. And it??????s looking good, too! My fully respect..

.... It looks incredible

Great work! I really hope you get it ready, it??????s awesome!

Nice to know how much detail you are putting into the world's best wooden coaster (Voyage sucks compared to this Tyler). :D
