I'm assuming you are trying to turn the harnesses white.

In the NL2MAT editor, go to the basic tab and tick the override diffuse, override ambient and override specular. Then change the colour for each of those options to grey (any shade of grey should do). It should fix the recolouring issues.

I've also uploaded a new revision with this change already done. So you could just download it again instead of messing with the options.

It's not so much something you were missing, It's more something I didn't realise I had to do to get the recolouring working properly.

While I am thinking of it, any plans to make the Screaming Swing recolorable?

I've updated both the Windseeker and the Screaming Swing to be both recolourable and rideable.

Now that winter has come back round, I have got a bit more time to get some modelling done, I've spent most of today working on this so far and I'm really liking how it's coming out at the moment. Can you guess what it is yet?

Yep it's Falcon's Fury/An Intamin Sky Jump. I'm almost finished with the model, I just had the seats and the gondola that lifts the car up left to do, which I should be able to finish in the next few days

And in the background, that's a park I have been working on lately, it features an RMC Iron horse, an Arrow hyper and an Intamin Woodie at the moment. The pov for the Intamin is on my Youtube if you want to check it out.

I use a mixture of Sketchup and Lightwave.

I use Sketchup to make the models which explains why some of my models can be a bit rough around the edges, I then use Lightwave to split the model into layers and add the pivot points.

Can I test your park? I want to make sure that the s curve on the arrow hyper feels and looks arrow enough.

I think your arrow hyper defiantly needs wider supports for the lift and all of the tall hills. Why is this part only tall part pole supports? You should support this ride like you supported the lift and other tall parts.

This makes it kind of like you rushed the support on this part.

I now have made the tall poles thicker.

Plus I fixed the crossover.

^ You're our hero! We all have seen you adding a ton of excellent rides so far! :)

Edit: Of course I do know Magu's one of our greatest NL ride builders! I thought the person above me was you when I added this comment... lol... oh my big mistake. Magu, you're not missing anything! :)

Projection: You're our hero as well as Magu! This ride looks realistic! :D

^ ... a ton? :O What i??????ve missed???

Looks really promising! In Lightwave, there is an option to smooth the materials instead of faces (like sketchup). I tried it out but it didn??????t exported the smoothing correctly into the 3ds. Sketchup do the welding job nice, but you have to texture the welded faces again in another programm, which keeps the smoothed faces to get the textures right (and not distorted). It??????s really annoying how many programms can??????t saving the smoothed faces right into the .3ds. If you find a solution, please let me know ;)

Looking forward to see more of this ride!!!

Nice greetings.

^The whole texture issue is generally why I just stick to the colours more so than textures.

A small question to anyone that has been on Falcon's Fury/seen it in person, what happens when the drop car hits the pre-brakes/the section of the tower where there is only one magnetic brake? It's hard to tell from any of the videos what happens. Does it start to slow down the drop car so the sudden braking force lower down the tower isn't too forceful? Does it slow down the speed that the car is accelerating downwards at? Does it start to extend the seats? or something completely different.

I'm touching up the last bits of the script at the moment, then I'll release the first version. I still have a few things to go, such as getting the pistons to work, but I will update the ride with those sooner rather than later.
