I've been looking into how to do an inverted zero car myself, but my modeling skills are...nill...
I can certainly try and help with the suspended textures!

Supports look great so far, especially on Loch Ness Monster. Sorry I can't help on the zero car, but didn't the faux Smiler trains involve attaching something to the front of B&M floorless trains? perhaps you could move the attachment point, if it worked like that?

We were supposed to have a class music trip to Virginia Beach and visit BGW, but not many people cared much for the park. Then they decide to change it to a New York trip with no theme park and I was like, "My dreams of going to BGW are crushed." #WhenYouWishMorePeopleWereRollerCoasterEnthusiasts.

^ Funny you mention that, because we have a music competition in Virginia Beach next year and the awards ceremony is scheduled at BGW :lol: We get the whole day at the park!

LNM is ALMOST done with supports! I was hoping to finish them tonight, but calling this work tedious would be an understatement, and I'm going through great lengths to get it right.

So first, I thought I'd show you guys a REALLY rare shot of LNM under construction before the tunnel, to compare with the support work for the tunnel.

Still left on LNM:

Last supports for the turnaround over Grim's Landing (modern day Land of the Dragons)

Supports for Lift 2

Finish evac catwalks for Lift 1/2/Block Brakes

Finish brake maintenance catwalks.

Hope I have 3d modeling skills by this point to make 3ds for LNM!

I'll likely finish LNM before going back to work on Wolf/Drachen just because I'm so close to being done with LNM from a "stock" perspective, and I'll likely get all 3 to that point before 3ds start coming in.

Thanks man! I actually learned how to shape arrow track in NL2 from someone else on the forum. The key is to set the heartline to custom y offset of 0.4, then manipulate the verticies and roll points to make sure that one rail stays "flat" or constant while the other twists around it. This is how Mr. Toomer always designed his rides!

LNM is Phase 1 Complete! The next phase of LNM will involve 3Ds and audio/lighting scripting, so LNM will be on the back burner for a while as I shift my focus back to wolf and drachen.

This is incredible, It looks just like the real thing at points. Looking forward to seeing this evolve!

A few minor announcements! Hopefully the next big update (with lots on Drachen Fire) will be done shortly. First, I have a new parterner working on some 3ds! Bouncypip11 has graciously offered to partner up on 3ds, so work is already under way on the station/tunnel for Loch Ness.

Next, while I was out sleuthing the internet, I found a youtube video with old footage of Loch Ness back when the first lift chain speed allowed double loops! I thought I would share with you all.

We could have done a meet up :( I still think New York is a bad choice for a trip as CT is fairly close and almost everyone going has been there already.

Maybe I will be able to make it out to BGW someday. I can dream.

I also realized that BGW had 3 arrow coasters. They should have named it Busch Gardens Hell. :lol:

Any reason that they do not run the double loops together anymore? It looks like it adds a lot to the thrill element.

Yeah. As you may have noticed, there is no brake run for a third train behind the station. So when they run three trains, if they don't keep it at a hustle, when they stack up, the third train stops on the second lift. In an effort to make riders with disabilities feel less hurried when they board, they slowed the first lift speed to buy more time between dispatches before the second lift would set up. As far as I know, it was a tremendous improvement for slower boarding guests, and they don't get angry letters as often about slower boarding guests being pressured into hurrying up.

The downside of course is that now the trains miss eachother by some 45 seconds in the loops, but thats a lot of extra time when you're talking about boarding a train. There's really no other option beyond building a new brake run, and where would you even put it? The change happened around 2002 iirc.
