Six Flags Northern Lights - NL2 Project

I'm just gonna start this topic now, as a continuing reference for one of my current primary projects, which I am calling Six Flags Northern Lights. It's obviously meant to be a fantasy Six Flags park, which for no particular reason other than being in my vicinity is [would be] located near the Great Lakes/northern Midwest region. I've started laying out the park and I have even completed the centerpiece of its first generation of coasters- a Mack launched coaster.

The featured element on this ride is a 440 degree roll.


I have planned a future entrance plaza around the tower structure, similar to GateKeeper.

Nice, I like it when people incorporate the MCBR into another tracks support structure! Double overbank looks fun too!

Some nice work. Will look forward to seeing the ongoing development. The twisted top looks intriguing.

Looks interesting so far. Make sure you look at real Mack rides. I think you're going a bit overboard with the cross-beams within your supports.

^^I've mainly been referring to Helix and the blue fire Megacoaster clones. Rest assured, those structures are very isolated as they're going to be the central structure overlooking the front entrance gates. I definitely do not plan to continue that supporting style throughout.

Just as an extra hint, this ride is going to be electricity/voltage theme related, so I want the front structures to look almost power-line tower styled. They might take on another change at some point.

Like the entrance idea! and are the trains in the first corkscrew synced? Because if the are, awesome!

Good eye ;P.... they're kinda synced haha. I'm working on it.

I hope they work out synced, that'd be am awesome start to the ride!

That looks awesome! I actually may have stopped into that thread once or twice but never intended to copy you Actually I have to say that I might end up going with a different theme anyhow. The power-line structures idea and some other ideas I had don't seem to fit quite right anymore.

Oh don't worry, I'm not mad or anything! I actually like the power line idea if you can get it work, especially if it's over the entrance. I'm going for more of an electrical-breakdown theme on LiveWire

Thanks for the comments guys! I've never personally been stellar at 3Ds but I really hope to reach a higher point with this project because I have high hopes for its final result.

^^Also the color scheme may not be final, but the others that I'm considering are also quite different.

Gahh I'm gonna need help with RMC rails...

I can help with RMC topper track! Haven't been able to figure out I-beams though...
