Yesterday on the swing at my lake house i discovered i could create airtime. Has anyone else figured out how to do it?

My instructions:

-Swing as high and as fast as possible

-When you reach your foward apex, push foward on the ropes/chains as fast and hard as possible

I do that all the time. When you pull on the chain it pulls the swing in, so even when your going down, you still have room to travel directly downwards.

Hehe, good ol' times. In the neighborhood we used to have swings that were already 10ft high. I used to swing on those all the way up untill i'm somewhere at 90?????????. It was also fun to just jump near the top. Flying through the air was awesome.

Hehe, playgrounds were just the cheap and dangerous ways to create a little rollercoaster feeling. Too bad they demolished that awesome playground over here. I had some awesome time there.

And when i'm talking about rollercaoster feeling anyhow. There is a small forrest behind our house that has some cool hills. I used to race over those hills with my bike again to simulate rollercoasters. [lol]

hehe, i love, in the summer, getting on my bike, making a ramp, riding down the biggest hill near or lake and then just ramping into the lake, i think there's a video of something like it on youtube somewhere, but we didnt make one, hell we didnt tell anyone full stop.

Starting to wonder about the deep-seated psychological need to feel weightless.

I can tell that I am getting 0 gs because the short extra length of chains that dangle off each side of my seat float up in the air.

I went on two playgrounds today!! One had a twin 5 foot tall slide and a 2 foot tall side. The other had a 4 foot slide and a 3 foot slide.

Actually, I think it's -1g you're pulling as soon as you jump of the swing. You'd might be still traveling forward and slightly upwards due the speed of your swinging. But as soon as your ass leaves the swing: It's ejector air until you reach the ground.

I do not jump off my swing. I float up out of the seat and then slam back down into it.

That sounds definitely like a good moment of zero G floater air. I need to find a swing near me, I miss that feeling of swinging so high.
