Just wanted to post another update about what I've been up to. Currently, I am have finished putting fences around all the flat rides.

Image

I am also working on upgrading my gates so they don't look so bland and will actually look like they can move (even though they can't. maybe a scripting education experience for sometime in the future).

Getting close to the finishing touches for the park. Just need to place street lights along pathways. I don't know if I'm interested in going super in depth and building benches, trashcans, various buildings, etc. Maybe on future parks though, because this park is supposed to only be a learning experience and not some super detailed creation.
Also, I tried laying down some parking spots paint. But I was struggling with the stripes because A,C,and D were all way to big, and B was way to small. so idk

Oh I almost forgot. I still haven't learned how to make lights yet. There's still one spot on the coaster where I want to add some. So maybe within the next few days I'll be able to do that.

If i see this i just remembered i should redo the Chair-Swing. Darn.. xD

Great work! I??????m excited to see more =)

Added in some pathways and queue for the coaster. I know real coasters would never put so much queue next to so many supports and under the lift, but I'm just gonna use this as a learning curve experience so I can plan better for future rides. Also, thank you mkingy for the tip on how to get concrete into my park. It looks much better now. As for the rides being spread out, I like that it gives it a park in a forest type feel. My next goal will be to add fences around the flat rides. Maybe also learn how to share the file for testers as a possible future goal.

Not true! Personally I much prefer a queue that snakes around the ride providing photo opportunities and different views for the shaping. As for real rides check this image out - the multicoloured blob in the middle is the queue for Smiler at Alton Towers:

No worries on the concrete tip - happy to help!

^ I also much prefer queues that run under the coaster or supports. It adds a nice sense of scale and as you said provides some great views! The Smiler's queue is really claustrophobic for some, but personally I like it and think it works very well with the whole government testing theme, you kind of feel like a test subject being fed through a maze of fences towards the ''correction'' facility.

This project is coming on nicely bronco!

This is really coming along awesome! Total night and day from when you first started. I like how unique your style is, instead of looking like everyone elses coasters trying to copy real manufacturers. Can't wait to ride ^^

Pretty sure Goliath and Titan were both Giovanola rides, B&M had nothing to do with them. That track type is hardly ever seen which is why it's not really a priority in NL2.

yeah Giovanola designed Goliath and Titan, they did a lot of work with B&M so they do have some track hardware similarities. the closest in NL2 would be the 4 across and staggered hyper trains.

They weren't high on the list to add like face-to-face inverted shuttles, Zamperla Spinning Cars, or the Vekoma Mine Trains with the locomotive on front. Y'know, rides people use all the time...

Those rides were very likely part of deals the NL team had (like the Vekoma Motorbike Coaster) to provide a simulation to visualize how a ride might look (in terms of pitching to a client / upper management) and NL was able to secure the use of what they designed to be released as an update.

Made some more progress today after taking a few days off. I got street lights in all around the park and figured out how to make spot lights work and change colors. I put the spot lights on the coaster where I have been wanting to put them, but I think it is just a rough draft. I want to put the red ones after the yellow and gold ones now that I have seen what it they look like.

Also, Magu78, I would love to put some of your trashcans and benches into my park, but I can't figure out how the Steam Workshop works at all. After that, that's about it with this project.

I smoothed out the turn/drop on the hill after the flat turn because it had a pump, the roll vertices and g's said it had no lateral, but I thought it was just a bit too vicious so I smoothed it out. I think this might be the first time I'm even mentioning this though.

I have also left a scrap pile of all my fences and gates in the northwest corner of my park that will be available to anyone who downloads. As usual, give credit where credit is due. I know I'm gonna have to go back and look at who all made the flat rides I used.

The next thing I need to do is throw together a video. But unfortunately, my laptop is now not strong enough to run this park without dropping lots of frames. So if when I post this park somebody could just send me raw video capture of several offride and onride shots, probably day and night shots too, that would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone wants to be a tester before I upload, I would gladly send you the file in an email or however you guys usually do file share. This would be to get some last minute notes on details to kink out.

Thank You Everyone for your support throughout this build. I know it will be a bit simple, but it has been a good learning experience. I'm currently starting to get ideas for future rides and the backburner. I know many of you are anticipating more updates or the park itself, and it excites me that I have a following. So once again, Thank You.

So far my NL2 eye can look.. the flatrides are from the first set, i released. Beside the ingame ones.

You have to subscribe a project on steam. After the next start of NL2 (steam version), the projects you??????ve described are in the "Workshop" folder (where you choose your park to open). That??????s all. After opening the park, you only have to extract the park package. The everyday procedere..

..but i??????ll upload the scenery on my dropbox-account later this day and give you the link! =)

Looking forward to this park! :D

Magu,

Maybe that's why I can't figure it out. I do not have the steam version. I got mine directly off the nolimitscoaster site. I haven't been able to find Lake Side on here NLE either.

Just a last update before I finally release this thing. This has been a homework heavy week for me so didn't get around to NL2 too much, but today I had some good solid hours of work.

Found some free 3ds models on http://archive3d.net/ . I ended up using a few of their things in my park. The only thing about these free models is that when one ports them into their park there is no telling what size they might be. I had to go through many models before I found some that would need little to no re-scaling. Here you can see the benches and trash cans I used.

Image

Since I have had some time to play around with last minute details, I thought I would change the tripod supports to be the colors of the lights at the bottom of the hill.

Image

I am going to do my best to get this up next up week. That way the tracks uploaded this week category will be reset and I can have some front page time.

Keep what you have because there is n point in redoing all of them, but maybe next time check out roller coaster database (rcdb.com) and search for intamin coasters. Try and copy those supports a little bit. I'll make your rides look much better.
