I hate it when people complain about 50's being freezing. If you ever live in Ohio you would think it was summer if it was 50 in the winter.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

If you lived in California year round, you would understand why 50 degrees = freezing for us

I finished my East coaster season on El Toro/Nito on November 2nd. It was 34 degrees, 22 MPH wind, and felt like 28... THAT WAS REALLY COLD!
But worth it since I totaled 3 Batman, 1 Dark Knight, 6 Nitro, 1 Skull Mountain, and 12 El Toro!

And finished off the season in the last row of the last train of El Toro for 2014!

Season is still going on here. Won't end until beginning of January. The pleasure of living in the south.

Hi guys!
I don't really know where to put this, but I have a question (or series of questions to be more specific).

What do you like most about Knotts? What do you dislike most (feel free to be specific)? What do you think Knotts needs most going into the future?

Edit:
My logic for putting this here was that there's no thread dedicated to themepark discussion and this seems like an interesting offseason discussion. Feel free to move or delete this post or move it if you feel otherwise.

I like the welcoming atmosphere of it. There's a certain feeling of tranquility that I get there. One that I don't get at other theme parks. They have a good selection of rides. As for the future, I'm not really sure what to suggest. A dark ride definitely but I think one is coming next year at the site where the old Kingdom of the Dinosaurs once stood. There's a lot of work going on there so hopefully something amazing comes out of it.

Yea, I really loved the atmosphere of Knotts last year in November when I went. I think it is probably the top "Themed" Cedar Fair park.

So it seems like people like the atmosphere at feeling it's gives off most. What do you dislike most, though? And I toy agree about the need for another dark ride, but I was also thinking improvements to some of the themeing around ghost town and especially around silver bullet.

In the CT-RI area during heavy winter it goes from 20's to below zero.. It's terrible.

Need a bigger coaster than Xcelerator. A giga would be nice if it could fit :P

^ That does sound awesome, but I was thinking the park should go the other direction, and focus on touching up their themeing, especially around Silver Bullet and ghost town. Maybe even add a dark ride.

Kind of confused on why the offseason thread has turned into the Knott's thread. :?

Anyway, the offseason is dragging along for me. It's cold and snowy up here in Minnesota, and we've got 174 days until Valleyfair opens, ugh. I'll probably make a trip to Nickelodeon Universe in January or February, but besides that, this is a very depressing time of year .

Omg a fellow Valleyfair guy. I deal with off season blues by going to Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Fiesta Texas with my bff in 3 weeks...

How far away from Nickelodeon Universe are you?

About two hours away, which is about the same distance from where I live to Valleyfair, but I only go to NU once or twice a year as opposed to 10-12 VF visits because I don't feel that NU's ride lineup is worth their $250 annual pass. Besides, the offseason is generally a good time to save up money for next summer's trips.
