Uhm.... get me on it. Get me on it right now. These pods are going to change everything [although I hope not so much so that they detract from the inherent waterslide experience]

Ah, so it's not Action Park.

Not sure how many people want to go on a water slide that... is more like a roller coaster with water... Then again, powered water slides are popular enough.

Closer to a flume ride than a waterslide. Surely the line has to be drawn somewhere. I draw it where they start putting horsecollars on.

It's like a waterslide with a mat on steroids. It's just more protective than the tubes and mats we've seen for decades. Anybody that calls this a roller coaster with water ^^^ doesn't know what a *wheel* is.

^And flumes have never gone upside down... Waterslides have been doing it for many years. Don't know why you would say that lol.

And calling it a water slide is just as stupid.

Seriously dude this thing is neither, in fact it's closer to a looping bobsled than a water slide anyways nor do i think it will be any fun considering your in a capsule with a restraint locking you in and yay a loop. I'll prefer our Schwarzkopf shuttle over this a million times.

The tubes seem to be open enough to allow water and air to circulate like they always did, so I don't think the experience will be hindered.

You need caging on that vertical drop otherwise you'd just tumble down that shaft. And it's not different than "Rampage slides with sleds that skim on the water using metal and plastic. I'd say it's more traditional than uphill powered rocket slides.

If it gets flushed down a tube it's a water slide. What ever "it" is.

And you're right, being encased in metal and foam with restraints has never been fun when going upside down lol.

Also, if you flushed that bobsled down a tube with water into a splash pool it'd be a waterslide.

And they do already make those btw minus the loops

Regardless of what it is/isn't - looks like a poor mans shuttle loop.

That capsule looks weird. Also looking at how that capsule opens, I wonder how you'd get evacuated in case of not making the loop. That gap looks small.

I don't think so, I think you will get in, they will close the cage, and then the cage will rotate you onto your back. While this is happening someone else just went down the slide and someone else is getting into the cage.
