Colossos @ Heide Park? Yes and no.
Even tho the overall ride still runs smooth when it comes to transition of hills, curves, etc. The entire ride suffers from a constant annoying bump every certain amount of feet, which is caused by the transition of the prefab rail pieces. Balder on the other hand, ran this year amazing. The ride is just 2 years younger than Colossos and is still running like it's only 1 or 2 years old. No noticeable constant bump, whatsoever. Running even smoother than El Toro did in 2010.
How they do it? I don't know, but apparently it is possible to properly maintain an Intamin prefab coaster.
El Toro is definitely guilty of that and it's getting worse. I rode it in October of this year and it was really noticeable. It happens on the middle section of the ride from the turnaround to the Rolling Thunder hill. It just bumps you for a short moment but its a considerable jolt. It's more uncomfortable than painful. I actually prefer the roughness of coasters like Wildcat at Hersheypark and Predator at Darien Lake because it actually improves the ride experience. I feel like the entire middle portion of El Toro has lost its effect because of the constant pestering of bumps.
