what do you think would be a good park benefit a woodie or a good coaster that would look good redone by either rmc or gravity group?

ex:gwazi would probably be good as a rmc redoing the hole thing

South Africa.

Doesn't matter which park, could be in the middle of the desert as long as it's here.

Gwazi would be great again if the entire ride got a proper a proper re-track on both sides. The old PTC's pretty much killed the entire track. So I'd say let gravity group do it's thing and fix this puppy up. (Both sides of course. :) )

If Busch is really trying to be Six Flags, they are succeeding. This poor coaster looks so epic, but gets treated like crap.

The Legend just needs to have a hybrid treatment done to it. What used to be one of my favorite coasters is now a twisted wooden deathtrap, a deathtrap that stalled once this season, and barely finished the season in one piece.

Gravity Group doesn't do refurbishments, M&V do (and are terrible at it).

Legend is my second favorite coaster, don't touch it.

Some CP conservationists might kill me here but Mean Streak could do with a nice and fast RMC makeover.

Too bad ceder fair doesn't seem to be touching Rocky mountain anytime soon.

2007, but bad now doesn't mean bad next year for woodies, especially HW's where they get so much offseason work.

As much off season work as it gets, it's still a horrific monster now. At least it was a few months ago. I'm going to give it one more chance. They're doing an immense amount of rehab this winter

"one more chance" lol woodies vary so drastically from ride to ride, seat to seat, when work gets done etc thats such a stupid thing to say.

CCI's don't seem to age very well which is why there was a refurb of Boulder Dash a while ago. If CCI was still around, I guess they would have been able to do major refurbs as they would have better technology now.

Wood coaster tracks average 7 years regardless of manufacture which is about when the CCIs started needing major overhauls. Some of the GCI rides have gone a bit longer as they're built with very high quality lumber with very tight tolerances, but overall the wood eventually gets worn out/compressed and needs to be replaced. The old saying goes "You're never done building a wood coaster."

Here's the big question... Has Colossos gotten rough? If not, I think we can call this problem solved.

Colossos @ Heide Park? Yes and no.
Even tho the overall ride still runs smooth when it comes to transition of hills, curves, etc. The entire ride suffers from a constant annoying bump every certain amount of feet, which is caused by the transition of the prefab rail pieces. Balder on the other hand, ran this year amazing. The ride is just 2 years younger than Colossos and is still running like it's only 1 or 2 years old. No noticeable constant bump, whatsoever. Running even smoother than El Toro did in 2010.
How they do it? I don't know, but apparently it is possible to properly maintain an Intamin prefab coaster.

You also need to factor in the fact that Liseberg is located a good bit further north than Heide park, so the difference in temperature during the year could also have something to do with it.

^^^^^Stupid thing to say? I didn't mean literally I'm only riding it one more time. I'm giving it one more shot, hope, etc. I know that coaster better than anyone on this site, not trying to be pretentious or anything. I've ridden in every seat, multiple times, both trains, I think I have an average ride figured out in my head, and getting the sh1t beat out of me, is not the average ride. If it doesn't shape up next season, I've lost all hope in it.

El Toro is definitely guilty of that and it's getting worse. I rode it in October of this year and it was really noticeable. It happens on the middle section of the ride from the turnaround to the Rolling Thunder hill. It just bumps you for a short moment but its a considerable jolt. It's more uncomfortable than painful. I actually prefer the roughness of coasters like Wildcat at Hersheypark and Predator at Darien Lake because it actually improves the ride experience. I feel like the entire middle portion of El Toro has lost its effect because of the constant pestering of bumps.

boulder dash turned rmc with 7 inversions would be epic and make for a better ride
