I will never deny that his media coverage has no competition. I often actually cherish his bull**** antics since they usually result in mounted POVs. But the man behind the operation..... rrrraaaawwr *breaks remote into 5 pieces*

Also a bit of on-topic material (even though I love the direction this thread is taking currently), Wicked Cyclone has something constructed recently, and those things can be found in the construction updates.

I honestly think Parks just give into Hitler, I mean Rob's B.S. out of fear that he'll say terrible things out of spite. He does have a wide variety of brain washed nitwits foaming at the mouth when he speaks that will believe anything he says.

Funny you say that as when I was young I used to idolize Robb. I will admit that I do read the TPR forums ONLY when there are ride updates and reveals as they usually get it first and to keep track of all of the amazing stuff happening in China. Other than that, I find the people there to be really immature and egotistical.

Anyone else use Screamscape?

ScreamScape is divine when it isn't Halloween haunt season.

Not a WC update, but Pandemonium looks great with its new coat of paint!

Some good and bad news:
New England Sky Ride is retiring for good (I loved this ride so much. It was really helpful and I am very sad to see it go).
New things for 2015 being announced in February.
Something might take Twister's spot.
For Bizarro: "When that ride goes through its next phase of evolution, there will be change, and we will use new technology on that. We're looking forward to its next evolutionary phase which is already in progress."

Here is an aerial construction update of Wicked Cyclone.

The ride itself stayed the same, the track and trains not so much. Let's get you up to speed.

SROS was perfect as it was, great trains no gimmicks nothing. Then the Six Flags we know and love said "Omg!1!1! L3ts m41k n3w c0l0r3s 4nd tr41ns 4nd 4dd f1r3!111!!1"

Then we got a purple repaint, new trains with audio, a re-theme, and a fire effect. Some time later, there were idiots reaching out for the fire and too many birds accidentally flew into it so no more fire effect. Then, the audio broke and you could only hear it on the way up and then it just stopped completely and Six Flags made no effort to fix it. The ride today rides fine, but is in bad condition in terms of maintenance. It breaks down on a daily basis and the paint is faded and chipping.

This is why I am so excited for the rebirth of this ride. It will restore it to its former glory and hopefully remove the gimmicks. Knowing Six Flags, however, they will market it as a new coaster.

The best part is the GP still won't notice.

There was also some information released on Goliath. The terrible premier trains will stay, but they are working on making the ride more smoother and comfortable during the off season.

You know it's rough when you want vekoma trains back.

the uncurved catwalks ruin the look a bit.
but i'm enjoying the color of the supports :)

The colors are coming along nicely, I still think that the white is better with the red track, but I understand what they are going for and will still look great, that catwalk though looks weird flat, but thats just because we're not used to it
What are these for?

It's weird because it's a flat catwalk on a rounded lift hill, kinking the silhouette. But I don't ride catwalks so whatever works up there. I think it might actually be more intense to ride seeing the walkway fall away from the train cresting over the top, an "all safeties off" kinda feel

Not sure if that worked. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndBh7aW4ezQ

I drove by SFNE on 12/13/2014 and took this video of the construction of Wicked Cyclone. It's short but you can see how far the ride has come along!

The lift looks done, with the exception of the chain and motor. The over banked turn is just beautiful, and the supports for the surrounding structure are going up slowly.

The track extends from the break run all the way through the stall. The first inversion is about half way tracked, and the structure behind the lift has been heavily modified. It's about half as tall as Cyclone was and is taking shape really fast.

The double dip looks completed and is just waiting for track to be installed, and the new grey paint looks incredible with the orange track.

For being shorter than Cyclone, this ride looks way bigger when standing next to it. It's sure to be in everyone's top 10 after it opens. Looks incredible!!
