I know I'm posting in the thread for NL2, but any tips to build my track using white dots diagonally? It turned out that I needed these techniques for an out-and-back style. ;)

Personal coaster count as of 3/2025 -- 222
"500" perhaps by the end of this year.

Are you having an issue getting the track to be straight when you look at it from the top? You an use "Make straight (2D)" to ensure the track is perfectly straight between 2 points by highlight all the points you want to be straight and click said button (I think its on the "elements" tab but i'm not sure offhand).
