Yes it does that's why boulder dash wins more than the voyage

After the one day you ride The Voyage, you'll forget all about Boulder Dash

Really? Because I rode Voyage and it didn't come close to Boulder Dash.

No new news on this, I've had like no time off from work and real life has been weird lately. I did redo the middle part but there's no real visible changes to it, just some small dimensional changes. I also started on the stations exit ramps but there's not enough there to take a pic.

To each his own, but I think I'm gonna have to agree with TIME magazine on this one. 3 90?????? banked turns, 24.3 seconds of airtime, and a hell of a lot of tunnels.

Voyage is a hell of a lot better than Boulder Dash.

Boulder Dash doesn't even have real airtime! It was really disappointing, after all the good things people said about it.

What do you mean by "real airtime" because you are pretty much out of your seat the entire time on Boulder Dash and the airtime is insane on the triple-up.

How about we just agree that both coasters are great before this turns into TPR.

Triple Down in the dark. Nuff said. But seriously you can't bash each other for personal preference. I never said Boulder Dash sucked, I just prefer The Voyage.

Voyage save for the drop into the turnaround has mild floater at best, whereas I had some rides on Boulder Dash this year where if it weren't for the seatbelt (who needs lapbars?) I wouldn't be here to be typing this. Voyage has this very "computer" feel to it, like they designed in the out of control feeling and the 90* turns are garbage, whereas Boulder Dash feels much more natural. Minimal banking on turns, minimal transitions between positive and negative Gs, the best pacing of any ride I've ever been on (yes I've been on Voyage). Anyone who says BD doesn't have airtime or is disappointing or whatever needs an 11pm ride in October.

Also, this is a thread about my recreation. If you prefer Voyage, feel free to recreate that.

Boulder Dash is the best at night after it has rained.

Yeah, when I've ridden BD, that's a ride that throws you around like a ragdoll. It's not painful, it's a tad rough, but in a good way. You feel absolutely out of control. Literally on any portion of the ride your either thrown out of your seat, taking sudden turns, or plummeting to the ground. It's one of my favorite coasters out there.

Fun Fact: My step sister actually had to go to the hospital, because when she rid BD, somewhere on the ride an acorn fell and hit her directly in the eye. I can probably find pictures somewhere of the damage done. But it's pretty rare when something like that happens.. pretty nuts.

I got some new trackwork too, but I'ma hold off on posting that. I'm doing it in segments and not in any order so what I have wouldn't really make sense to post. But everything posted here has been redone or will be eventually.

Is that in-game support or 3ds work?

I dont think it will ever not be going, it just gets put on hold. This is something that in one way or another has been in the works for 10 years and I honestly don't know that I will ever finish it, but I don't think it will ever be fully abandoned.

That said, for the first time since 2008 or so when i figured out it doesnt fit in NL1, I have more than a rough outline of the south end. I'm missing some middle bits so it isn't ready to be compiled and run yet but I'm confident in my shaping for the most part. I have a new lift & first drop that isn't totally there yet but its about 80%, definitely better than any past drafts. The station flyby needs to be reworked, as do the 3 subsequent curves/segments. The double down and big hill in the middle of the outrun are pretty finalized, but the section immediately after I'm having trouble with. After that I've got the ramp hill, double up, and turnaround and while they need tweaking they're pretty accurate, and I'm going to work on the return run later tonight.

I've also got some 3D work started that hasn't been shown yet. So that's where everything is at.

Yearly update:

I haven't messed with BD in quite a while, but I'd like to. Unfortunately I don't have the time or knowhow, and possibly most importantly motivation to make this project be as good as I want it to be, so I'd like to open up the possibility of collaboration. I think I mentioned this once before, and I don't think there was much interest, but I'd like to throw it out there again. If anyone would like to be involved in getting this going again let me know. I have a pretty extensive set of resources to work from with this, some I can share and some I can't, but if there is interest and we actually make some progress I think things will start to fall into place.

Aside from that I'd like to do three versions. A 2000 version with the trick track and original profile, a 2008 version with the triple up, and a 2017 version with whatever replaces the triple up. This will be more about the evolution and growth of the park from adding rides like Downtime and Phobia (the latter I don't know where to begin with recreating and would be a perfect example of being open to collaboration) but the altering of the sections on BD should be fairly simple as we're working with the same ~117' of track.

Anyway, if anyone is open to helping out on this let me know. We can be organized and each take on different aspects of the ride (I'm terrible at terraforming and have always been scared of getting to that point) or just make what we make and bounce it off each other. This has been a dream of mine since I got NL 12 years ago and I'd like to actually get somewhere with it.
