I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 900 ft coaster within the next 20 years. it is not very economic, but who would complain about a ride like that?

I never underestimate what an amusement park can do... former Arrow Dynamics designer Ron Toomer responded to the topic of height limits as follows:

"How high can we go? how fast can we go? Well, if you asked me this 25 years ago, I would have said 'We're getting pretty close to the limit, here...' we'd gone 125 feet, which at that time was the biggest one in the world. At that time, I thought 'well, we're not going to get all that much higher...' well, we are. we're way higher now, we're over 400 ft. Now, I think that there are no limits, the only limit is what people will get on. And the more that amusement parks realize that there are no limits, the more that they will want to build it."

Need I say more?

ss and arrow didnt go bankrupt, its just the government wouldnt allow the coaster to be built. To loud apperently. Also i think its wierd that it would have a terminal velocity of 120 mph. The human bodys terminal velocity is around 150 mph in the first place. Plus a 900ft drop would need to start pulling out of the drop at around 400 ft anyways due to g forces

I suppose that new ride looks ok i guess, but it doesnt really seem that scarey, but just imagine if it broke and the car went flying off the edge. That would not be funny. I know someone already mentioned this

I was thinking that it would be cool if instead of a seasaw that it was a track that curved under itself off the edge of the tower. So you roll off and then stop upsidedown for a few seconds then the car is pulled back into the station. Now THAT would be sick.

the guy who thought of the tower wanted a roller coaster to go like straight down the side and like down past the road and then up another tower( or something like that) but they wouldnt let him build it because of the noise and the contsturction(sp) becasue of the office buildings that are around there. i dont know if the ride was gonna do exatcly that but it was gonna go straight down the side of the building then back up again.

I think they should put a Sky Swatter on top of the Stratosphere, or better yet, a Zipper! MUWAHAHAHA! The Zipper is the most diabolical flat ride ever made, and also the greatest. No other ride will ever beat it. Only X comes close, and Alan Schilke admits that The Zipper was his inspiration for X, so no wonder it's the greatest coaster ever made. No other coaster will ever beat X unless they make one bigger. I would almost sell my soul to have it at my home park, but at least I do have the first Sky Swatter at my home park, so that's the next best thing. Everyone who hasn't ridden one yet is in for a major treat, or a major scare, depending on how you feel about The Zipper. A Sky Swatter isn't any better than a Zipper, but it's very close to being as good. Just wait till your first ride on one. HEHEHE

See SWAT, the first Sky Swatter, & some videos of it in action here:

Have any of you ever seen a ride called "Energy Storm" by Zamperla? It's like an upsidedown scrambler. Thats pretty sick because they leave you upsidedown for a good amount of time.

But if you guys want crazy, take a ride on the Break Dancer at Astroland. That actually rivaled the Zipper. Only at Astroland though, most other Break Dance rides are fairly tame.

I'm sure many people would go on it. It would be the ultimate rush I think. Especially if you put TOGO style harnesses on it that slide down the seat back.

KMG Afterburner make me fell sick -
Max G-Force 4.5+
Min G-Force -2
Movement:
8 Arm Gondola Rotates around Central Arm
Gondola swings between - 135 and +135 degrees
Real-life example Vortex at Thorpe Park

yeah thats basicly the same thing. The one I went on at the Meadowlands Fair in NJ was made by KMG. Does anyone know why American versions are called Fireball and all others are called Afterburner?
