You can't simply say that Disko's alone are coasters without saying many other rides are coasters as well.

I had a terrible experience on Revolution at Lake Compounce as well. The restraint was jammed into my stomach and I couldn't move without pain for about half an hour.

Ring of fire is not, it is under control and power 100% of the way.
Even powered coasters have gravity take over during the ride partly.

Like anything else, the progression of technology and the hybrid nature of the future, it's going to become more and more difficult to so rigidly classify everything as simply black or white. I personally believe it's possible for something to be more than one thing. Such as a flat ride (with coaster elements). If you took of the spinning top and replaced it with a car with lap bars, the debate would become even more fuzzy.
