While that guy is completely ignorant, I do fear that response every time something bad happens on a rollercoaster. It seems as if every time someone dies on a rollercoaster even if it was their own fault, people go ape sh*t and say that amusement parks are unsafe and stop going to them, which scares me as it could be the end of the amusement industry.

On topic: A youtube comment for a Wild Eagle POV said that Dollywood is stupid and shouldn't win the golden ticket awards because X-Flight is better.

People like this make me fear for the future of the world.

Firstly, that guy is ignorant on rollercoaster safety. Rollercoaster accidents are extremely rare, and as stated in the answers loads of things in everyday life could kill us.

^^While that guy is entitled to his opinion, it was stupid to call Dollywood stupid and say they dont deserve the golden ticket (even though Mitch Hawker's poll is clearly superior).
It's been a long time

^He did say that they were undeserving of the Mitch Hawker Poll too.

Anyone else find it annoying on youtube videos when people comment "______ at ______ is much better than this pile of garbage!"

Yes, I find that annoying too.

Another thing I find annoying is when a popular Facebook page posts about a new roller coaster, I always seem to find a bunch of pro-Cedar Point comments along the lines of "Nothing compares to Cedar Point" and "Only a matter of time until Cedar Point blows this out of the water!" My point is that I'm glad that the GP knows that Cedar Point is an amazing park, but I don't like how they think that Cedar Point is the only park that has kick-butt coasters :|.

^Really because 99% of my Chemistry homework comes from that site .

When I was at CW this summer my brother and I were waiting in line for Leviathan and when we got to the station a man was arguing with the Ride op. He had accidentally entered the Fast Lane line instead of the regular line and demanded to be let on the ride even though he did not have a fast pass.

Found some seriously ludicrous comments on Facebook about Goliath at Six Flags Great America.

-"Wood....yes coffins are made of wood too"
-"A disaster waiting to happen"
-"Pssh please.. It's not new!!! Goliath rollercoaster has been around for years at Magic Mountain in Valencia California"
-"there will be new lawsuits by the end of summer."
-"Screw that! Bet that wood snaps somehow, someway!"
-"That is not the worlds tallest or steepest its called cedar point"
-"That looks like it is going to kill me instantly. Hope they have insurance"
-"I would rather eat nails than get on that thing!"
-"Millennium Force has a 300 foot drop. Six Flags is weak. Not to mention didn't someone die at a Six Flags park last year? They don't have a good safety record."
-"Who would ride that?...OR any rides like that?...only crazy people who does not care about life! Whiplash, long term problems, or even death ...YOLO ya ya...hmmmm?!"
-"I'm not trying this until at least a thousand people go on before me"
-"Yeah why not kill yourself, why can't they build a roller coaster that's fun but not waiting with lawyers at the end of the ride"

These never get old...

Those people are the epitome of why stupid people should never have access to the internet or anything coaster related.

Recently in a physics class, both a student and the instructor said that if a roller coaster does not travel through a loop fast enough, it will fall of . Someone really needs to teach them about upstop wheels.

I could do that, but I don't want everyone to know that I'm a coaster nerd.

That is why on the round up at Canobie there is a chain that prevents you from leaving your pod.

Saw this on another coaster website. It is obviously sarcastic, but it still sounds quite GP-ish...

It's not like that little chain, which you can unhook yourself, isn't going to keep you in place. If you wanna do silly stunts like in the video.
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

I remember reading online somewhere that when the train on Goliath at Six Flags Great America reaches the zero-G stall, everyone falls out, and the ride is over, and he said that because he thought that's what the net under that element was for.
