The first theming elements have been spotted inside the lift hill tower:

Great pics!
I always love that coasters are 20X larger than a house, but often get built faster than one.

It went quick today. The first pieces from the lift hill supports have been put up! And it's looking marvelous since it's something different than normal:

I'm expecting to see some track going up in about 1 to 2 weeks tops. :)

Looks great but how could a park afford that much theming

Looking at the concept art, it looks like we're halfway:

Noice! Looking really good so far and as expected, Efteling is doing a great job on sticking to the concept. Just hope the ride delivers! :-)

Theming doesn't cost even a 1/3 of the cost of the coaster

if you compair it to a park like for example cedar point, yes than its a small park
but here in the netherlands its the biggest park ( Efteling had about 5 coaster ( baron 1898 wil be there 6 )
and has about 40 other attractions
but what you have to remember is that the efteling started as a park with some fairy tales and is it's now one of the bigger parks in Europa
i dont really know with what park you can compair it with, there in america ( i think its a little bit bigger than holiday world )

That is definitely not your typical B&M lift structure. Since B&M don't like to go outside the norm, I have to ask, if anyone knows. Did they manufacture those supports or did they outsource like they are for Thunderbird's launch?
What are these for?

What did they do with Alpengeist? That has some kind of bizarre truss variant, but probably for engineering/geologic reasons. I'm willing to bet they'll do something unusual like this if you ask for it, it just costs extra.

Sometimes it costs as much as the coaster. Look at the insane stuff Disney and Universal pull off when they go bananas on a coaster.

I absolutely love how B&M are stepping out of their normal 'comfort zone' so to speak and are beginning to create unique concepts for support structures and park integration (i.e. Gatekeepers keyholes as supports, now this). :D Also am intrigued as to what the final layout will be. Can't remember if it has been announced or not but is this the 6 seat floorless dive version? :)
