GFA, I have a weird problem that I just noticed when I pulled up the guest actions box. Anyway, I was scrolling down & noticed that there were 71 peeps leaving the park. That shouldn't be. So I went over to the entrance, and they're all just walking back and forth in front of the park entrance/exits without actually going out of the park. For now, I'm just going to leave it, but...idk.

One more thing, one of the bonus goals said that we could "Re-theme/re-build Confusion Hill. (it must stay in it's current spot, but the building around it may be re-built). (30 points)" --Does that mean the building around the Scrambler? Ooh - indulge me again, when we re-locate the haunted house, are we supposed to re-build it's platform, or can we just stick it somewhere else?

Just after the entrance banners are blocking the entrance to the park so guests won't annoy you while building. So this is why those guests are walking back and forth there, remove the banners to let the guests into your park.

Scrambler? There is no Scrambler, it means the building around the crooked house called Confusion Hill.

You don't have to rebuild the platform, but some new theming would be nice of course [;)]

Two tings...well, three.
1. I meant Crooked House. Don't know why I said scrambler. Thanks anyway.

2. I guess a better way to re-phrase my last last question (see above) would be "Does there need to be a platform?"

3. You misunderstood me on my complicated question. I already removd the signs keeping people out of the park. MY problem is that the ones who WANT TO LEAVE are just walking back and forth by the entrance without actually leaving. It's killing my park rating because they're all complaining about how crowded it is. My rating's like 240. And I checked, it's not because of barf on the paths, broken lampposts, etc... it's these stupid peeps who just won't leave!!!

Oh - one more thing I forgot to add that I thing was one of the misunderstanding things - I have over 1300 peeps in this park and it's just the ones leaving that have the problem; the others are enjoying themselves on rides, eating, etc...

And yet another update on this stupid problem - now the peeps have decided to congregate in one of the food stall buildings. Almost everyone in there is leaving the park, so I have like 70 peeps in about 5 squares of path...

Very funny WeeWeeSlap [lol] Anyway, you'd get mad too if your park rating = [flush] It's not my fault the stupid peeps can't seem to get their heads outta their butts and open their maps and leave the park!!!

try getting rid of some of the alternate routes... either that or just make some of the side paths off limits. also, put your shops/stalls right on the path so that they can't boomerang back and forth.

Yea, take a look where the make turnarounds, maybe some side path causes it. The A.I. in RCT2 really is hilarious. Also those mechanics, sometimes there got stuck in the other side of the park if they need to fix something [shocked] You could also create some water underneath the paths and remove the paths if it get's out of hand [:p]

I dunno what their problem is tho - the food stalls are all directly on the path. The pot where they turn around does have a side path sticking out, but other people can use it normally. I've had the problem with mechanics before, if one gets stuck, I usually assign him an area far from where he got stuck. I think I'm going to have to kill off about 70 peeps every 5 months or so with the water method. [lol]

ugh....I tried a few thunder run layouts but junked them all, so I'm still at square one. I figure I'll try again after I finish my current project, so don't worry, I am no further along than you are.

As for the stuck peeps, I would suggest moving the stalls. They tend to get confused when they have several choices of "directions" to go in a few squares. Since a shop/stall counts as a direction choice, as does that small path you mentioned, that may be the problem. When people want to leave the park, they only choose certain directions to walk in, so other people will just try other directions until they find their way out, but peeps who are "on a mission" to exit the park are much less flexible.

Yeah that "thunder run" is a pain. Getting the layout right using those pieces already there isnt going to be too hard but finding the right combination is.

This stuck people situation sounds bad, it's not our fault the little guests can't make up their minds.

I have made 4 different versions of thunder run thus far. I'm trying to get the excitement over 10, but so far 9.15 is the closest I got. I'm making it kind of like Boulder Dash, where it goes through the mountains following the terrain, and going up and over the hills for some awesome thrills. However, I have a minor problem keeping the speed going near the end of the ride. Also, the riders in the cars going into Mt Phantom get quite a surprise as a roller coaster track winds through the mountain just above the tunnel entrance. However, I have done nothing else but make the woodie, so I'm still at square 1 also.

Hmm...thanks to all for the peep advice...I think I'm going to go with drowning them. [lol] Anyway, as for Thunder Run, I think I did a mediorce job of it. I can't remember for sure but I think I got the excitement up to 9.73...either that or 9.17. Whichever one it is, my <awesome> hypercoaster Kryptonite has the other rating...

"Side Notes: You must use the park that's posted at the bottom of this post. You may do what you wish to the little town near the mountain, just don't edit the road. There's no money involed, so there's no need for a trainer, however you may use one if you wish to. You may change the selection of objects and you can use wacky worlds and/or custom objects, but you can not change the selection of rides or remove any objects currently being used."

How do you change the scenery in a senario thats already made?

About finishing the road - I just used the tarmac footpath b/c you can't get the road path without re-editing the scenario and loosing the rides that are in place. No offense, but this is bad planning on the designer of the scenario's part.

Another peep problem update - now the troubles seem to be with the people heading for Splash Boats 1 (I haven't named it yet for lack of imagination) anyway, they are walking around in front of the entrance. I found out that a few do not enter signs will take care of them tho, but everyone else just ignores the signs. [lol] Anyway, I figured this out after about an hour, so I do it pretty much every hour and I have this literally mass migration of hundreds of people....[lol]

The problem with drowning them is that they're spread out and for some reason, putting up these no entry signs makes them all turn down the same path. It's like they have some psycological NEED to wander around untill they're not allowed to go someplace. [lol]

Two other things that aren't related, but are good contest questions:
1. To finish the road, it it fine to just use the tarmac?
2. If other people are having my peep problem, will we get penalized for it?

One more thing- I thing I read a while ago something about trying to get a coaster to Intense excitement - stuff over 10 in the excitement is still very high - I don't think it goes up to intense, but I can try to find out. I got this giga coaster that's a 10.15 right now, and there's still plenty of room for theaming and such.

Can we delete the base of the Haunted House after we move it?
