Alright alright boys let's calm down here, this is the Rougarou thread. We can bicker about RMC in another thread, maybe the WC vs TC thread since plenty of bickering goes on in there lol

Take it from someone who has ridden every single RMC currently operating. They are that special, even the weakest one (Goliath). Just read around the net, opposing opinion is most definitely in the minority. But really, people can say whatever they want, you can see with your own eyes how awesome these rides are. lol

Still, I just don't see one coming to CP anytime soon, or an Intamin anything imo. The Dive coaster has Cedar Fair written all over it. It's the one enduring B&M over the years outside of the invert.

What people are forgetting is that the Dive coaster is literally the last B&M the park doesn't have. After that they'll have to go back to companies like RMC or Intamin.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

@CoasterGuy2000 I'm confused? Cedar Point doesn't have a B&M mega, a B&M flyer, or a B&M sit down, in addition to not having a Dive Machine

They also don't have a standing coaster!
They need another woddie more than a dive, but maybe its just a dark ride?
Maybe Rougarou will just have to do for the next couple of years?

Ridiculous request! Cedar Point does NOT get enough attention and will need a new spotlight coaster by 2016!

Iron Rattler has two good drops and a ton of less-than-average overbanks. Apart from the two large drops and the roll Texas Giant does everything I.R. does better. I'd rather have had the old Rattler retracked and refurbished to how it was when it opened. It was a longer, and still more intense ride.

Hmmm... If I read that part, my feeling about IR seems correct without riding it. When I saw the layout from IR, I already felt they could have done a lot more and better with that ride. Add up to the equation that NTG was a big disappointment after riding it. Yeah... My current opinion about RMC is set. Big Coasters, many gimmicky elements and short rides.

Time to collect more money to get back to the US. See if my opinion changes about all those RMC's if I can ride more of them. Since basing off an opinion after riding just one of them and combine that with the rest of my roller coaster experience, is hard.

I think we can deal with a dark ride but I hear where the pirate ride use to be is so old it barely can handle offices

Well, they already have Magnum so there is no way they'd put in two out and back airtime hypers. Cedar Fair has said before that they won't buy flying coasters. They're lower capacity have some technical issues and the two they already have cause tons of problems. A little sad but I'd rather not get a B&m any way. And the sit down is possible I guess, but none have been recently built and I feel it might be a little too similar to the rides they already have.

Cedar Fair should have used a different evolution stone.

I know you all don't care but it's nice to see a train parked in slot #3. That used to be the "this train needs serious help tonight" slot that was only used to let maintenance know they had their work cut out for them. I hope the spiders are still asleep around there because that transfer track area is a goddamned nightmare when the spiders come out.

The bodies get up to the size of a dime and they leave a quarter sized splat on the ground when you kill them. Also when you knock down their web and kill the creator a new one creates a web within 30 minutes, and they're capable of making webs that span the entire roof area of the station.

I was given the task one morning of raking webs off the ceiling with an improvised broom on a cleaner handle, and lets just say I didn't get the whole roof done and we all counted 200+ dead spiders from the roof area alone.

Nah it's not Australia. It's an artificial swamp (I'm 99% sure it's artificial because I don't see it being hydrologically stable with the frigging water table within site of it, the amount of rainfall, and it clearly being above said water table but you never know with previously glaciated areas) within a generally buggy area so the spiders have an abundant food source. I wish it had more snakes because it's hilarious when the entire queue erupts into chaos because they can see one of the snakes swimming around on the surface. In all seriousness all the employees working that ride probably kill 1000+ spiders minimum in a month.

I do still think it's going to be absolutely hilarious seeing the guests come back after like 6PM from the front row absolutely covered in insects because the trains offer zero protection from them. The dynamics of the queue may get zero interesting with no line for the front because of the "trade-off". Rougarou and Iron Dragon have the worst spider issues by far, and a gang of 5 to 6 employees will spend a good 45 minutes every morning before opening and an hour after closing knocking them off the queue rails and the station. So if you're new to the park and you want a front row ride, I'd recommend riding before the sun begins to set or face the consequences. I think MF splats people pretty good with bugs too but I'm not 100% because I never rode that in the front much.

The little gnats and stuff will form these random 3x5ft "clouds" in random spots and you kind of hope they don't pick one that intersects with the track because they'll gladly let the train plow through themselves instead of moving their "cloud". Add the mayflies that pop up for a few weeks and you double the fun.
