I thought B&M wasn't manufacturing the launch themselves.

They designed the launch themselves, they just contracted out to InTraSys it just like almost every other company does.

Whole ride looks really excellent so far, I especially like the helix.

Does Intamin do their own LSM launch stuff?
I would assume yes?

^Not in the old days, but I believe they do now as their magnetic equipment is and looks different than other companies'. I know as a fact Superman @ SFMM's LSMs were made by IntraSys for sure.

Apparently, No third party was involved. Paula from HW confirmed that Thunderbird is B&M's first launch.

Baron anyway, looks freaking gorgeous.

I have read that IntraSys is still manufacturing the launch component, much in the same way that Clermont fabricates their track. That doesn't mean Thunderbird isn't a B&M launch coaster, and as has been said many companies (Intamin included) partner with Intrasys. I got confused about what thread I was in, though.

I have to admit, I didn't give Baron much credit initially even after the intricate support structure and artisan-level station. Seeing its shaping has made me much more interested.

^That's also what I've heard. It's similar to the track fabrication process.

No it doesn't.

NONE of the B&M rides are true vertical drops.

Griffon and Sheikra both feature max vertical angles of 90.

When they reach 90 degrees, they immediately start to pullout so it doesn't stay vertical for long.

^That would be correct. Technically, no matter how long, if a drop reaches 90 degrees its vertical, no argument. So technically Paradox is also right.

I still like this mine shaft better:

Plus: To B&M, this is what a vertical drop looks like.

I miss the old coco pan themed cars though. Now it's this stupid thing with OTSR's and they removed the holding brake.
