there was this weird inverted coaster at my local theme park in Belgium, the ride was pretty awesome but had HORRIBLE capacity, I rode it on opening day and waited 5 hours at least, a week later the ride was destroyed because everyone hated it

Perhaps you mean the defunct coaster named "Vertigo" at Walibi Belgium?

It wasn't destroyed because people hated it. It was a prototype from Doppelmayr which builds ski lifts and it did not perform like it should have.

If you don't know the real reason behind taking down a certain ride. Please don't tell around stories with a highly unlikely reason, the GP is dumb enough already to believe such stories.

Six hours with my father and older sister for B:TR's opening year at SFGAm. I didn't ride because I was too short and knew that going in lol.

Well I shattered my previous record on Monday at Six Flags Great Adventure. I waited 5 hours for the front row on Kingda Ka as it broke down 8 times, plus people started walking back up the exit and handing the ride operators a blue piece of paper and simply boarding the ride. They had to run 1 train as the other one was constantly malfunctioning. Never. Again.
It's been a long time

5 hour wait for Kingda Ka? I would have given up after 3 hours. :)

Might be breaking my record with Tempesto when I'm at BGW (going to make sure to ride everything else first!)

I just want to keep waiting for ages only for Disney rides! Wanna do the same for other park rides? More than a few hours - heck no!

Wow, I must be some kind of novice for the world of queuing! :P That said I've never been to the official opening of a new ride/attraction so that may be why.

My longest is 2 hours, 53 minutes precisely (yes, I decided to time it) for my first ride on The Smiler in June of 2013. It didn't even break down while I was waiting, just slow dispatching. :P
