Speaking of the haunted house, I'm curious to know where other people moved it.. I'm not going to steal anyone's idea, and I don't really care if someone's put in in the same place as me, but I stuck it at the top of the waterfalls over by the town with some "run down" appearance looks....

I put it in the town like one of the buildings but I might move it somewhere else

Try reading this to help with the stuck peeps:

http://www.angelfire.com/retro/fossil/RCT2/PathingSystems.html

This isn't a glitch within the scenario because I have had no problems so far.

Also, to change the scenery selection, go into the scenario editor, click "load landscape" in the upper left corner, and choose the scenario you want to change (it will be in the scenario folder Insert) It will load with all of the scenery, but no rides. Now you can go back to the object selection and change the scenery, but once you begin to play, you will have to rebuild the rides, including the exact pieces of Thunder Run, which is kind of annoying.[:p]

I'll just take reduced pointo for completing it with the tarmac path b/c I didn't enev realize that we didn't have the road until I had about a quarter of my park finished. [blah][flush][lol]

Yeah, I'm just doing tarmac too, I was more replying to montuman's question than that problem. Also, I didn't see this question before, but yes, it is quite possible to get "extreme" excitment. Here is a screenshot to prove it:

http://games.coasterbuzz.com/filedetail.aspx?GameFileID=4235

The easiest way to do this is just by making a ridiculously long giga coaster. Even the worst design should be extreme by around 10,000 ft.

And I have found an okay layout for Thunder Run, and am beginning on the rest of the park...better get moving DE@NO :P

that's interesting - I bet the threshold's something like 10.5....I've only gotten to 10.15, but I think with a few more caosters that run inside it/cross it's paths, it'll climb up to the extreme. It's a giga coaster that I took through the woods to the one side of the entrance where there's the water.

I made an ok design for Thunder Run. I had to use a lift section for a block because the brakes slowed it down too much to compleate the track. I'm curious what other rides people have put in the park?

I finished Thunder run w/ some creepy theming, put in a whole abstract section with the main feature a hyper coaster Kryptonite (ex: 9.73), a castle with two rides in it and a floorless, ye olde scream machine (runs something like 2600 peeps/hour) outside the castle, a pair of racing/deuling twister coasters that have the stations in a mine, but have hte rest abouveground with willow trees all over, a Giga coaster called Rock with a mechanical themed station (ex: 10.15), a looping coaster that I don't think I've named yet, and a corkscrew called Vekoma - nothing special, just an average corkscrew. There are a whole bunh of other rides scattered all over though, and I'm about ready to go branching off into parts of the town

How are people going with the contest, are there people still yet to start, besides tarzanman bragging about his coasters??

I've got Thunder Run and a few flats done, and I've got an idea for that haunted house... I'm also going to toss in a few pre-built coasters like I did in Frightmare Falls.

As for the excitement limit, I think it might top out around 13-14, although I have never seen a good-looking, good-working coaster with E over 11.

I built a rather ugly giga with 13.3 or so(not incl. scenery) It was a tall, decently long giga.

whew...that sure would be a lot of stairs to climb just to ride that top twister...i doubt it is against the rules, so go for it.

hmmm think ive ever seen anyone stack flat rides. I put an enterprise into a -6 level hole in the ground and still had to put two walls ontop of each other then a roof to cover it( not in this comp though). It would be a nice space saver though if anyone did do it.

Will we be penalized if we use trainers to "rig" rides? For example I made a Floorles B&M Reverse Incline launch coaster. I used the trainer to make the reverse incline launch a selection in the ride mode. I also have a few other "riged" rides (you'll see them if there allowed, If not I'll post them seperatly in the track exchange).

The rules say you can use a trainer if you want to, but I personally think much less of a park that has to rely on a trainer...the floorless design is so rampantly overused in the first place.

mainly because it gives better ratings than a standard twister and even better than the standup. It also allows every inversion possible in RCT2 and can be built quite high.

Yes, but it can't do half-inversions like the lay-down [;)] Good thing the giga can't do inversions, or it's all anyone would build!

Anyway, my park's shaping up a bit...got the woodie, a hyper-twister, launched corkscrew, looper, side-friction, carousel, and the crooked house. Tonight I'm going to focus on adding some flats and more "non-ride" scenery.
I actually found that I had the stuck peep problem by the entrance as well. I cleared out about 5 squares each of the two middle paths (out of the four) between the first two buildings after the gate, and that seemed to fix it.[8D]

I could make a giga with inversions if i could figure out how to use that feature in the trainer.
