Lodgepine Lake Resort - RRV & KiddieLand (7/7/15)

As some of you may know, I've been working on my Elmwood Lake Adventure Park in separate areas, and also my JD Coaster creations as individual concepts. However, over the past few months, I've realised these projects were not what I had in mind and they simply have not turned out how I liked. My aim had always to be to provide a themed, immersive experience for the user in the form of a full, downloadable park. A long while ago I had a park in RCT3 that was very thematic and pleasant, of which was my aim to bring that park into NoLimits 2. Therefore, I'm following my original passion and scrapping Elmwood Lake as it was impractical, and also JD Coasters as that is not what I'm aiming for.

Therefore I present to you, my new, long term project, featuring some of the rides I've showcased before on here and YouTube, such as Bombardier, HE11ION, and the runaway train. Welcome to Lodgepine Lake Resort. Obviously this is going to take a long while to make, so release will be a long way off (although I may release the park as revisions). Also, as some as you may know, I personally love pyromusicals and thematic shows, therefore, with inspiration from Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, I will also be including a lake side display that I hope you'll enjoy.

@Bouncypip11: Thanks! I'm making this my sole project from now on so as not to get distracted (that is unless a major NL2 update with masses of new features comes out ).

And yeah, for some reason every park I've ever decided to make, be it RCT3 or NoLimits 2 always revolves around a forest of some sort, what can I say, I love nature!

@lol240: Haha, thanks for the compliments but there are far, far more talented people out there in the community who have produced AMAZING things as of late. They are my inspiration!

If you add custom infinity trains with airplane wings (similar to Karacho) to Bombardier I will all out die.

As long as I don't average 1 fps like I did with both sections of Elmwood I will be fine.

I'm loving your entrance plaza. It's so authentic. The park sign is a little Olive Gardeny but I still like it.

@Paradox: Well Bombardier is technically a standard Eurofighter but I may just add some wings to the cars And I hope for the same too, I learnt quite a few optimisation techniques and found some neat plugins that should hopefully keep this at a manageable level. It's working okay so far.

@GerstlCrazy: Thanks, I'm glad that feeling has come across.

@mkingy: Thanks kingy, and yeah, the fountains were based off the ones I used in RCT for my old park way, way back. Also, no they are not custom scenery, I've simply altered the fog machine script to suit my needs for the fountains and hidden the model files in game.

So instead of reposting the update before the rollback, I thought I'd just go straight into a new one. Just as an update, I managed to find the source of the lag within the park and it was, unfortunately, the lighting set scene objects that were going to be used to create the night time show spectacular on the lake, therefore, whenever this is released, I will release two revisions most likely, a plain, daytime file on the site, and then one with the nighttime show included on my dropbox for those with higher end PC's or those that just want to check out the show. That show has not been cancelled just on the back burner haha.

Right then, it's my last week of holiday off from university before a big period of work and exams so I'm powering through as quick and as much as I can with this project before the downtime period begins, therefore, have managed to create the first facade for the wild west area (name suggestions always appreciated). The first coaster to receive work is my old Pinfari Mini Mega MM29 coaster, entitled Gold Rush, situated within this area. I have to say, dilapidated buildings as a theme for a Pinfari, seems quite fitting right?

Anyway, some pics. Until next time. After this I'll be working on Manic Miner, the MACK Powered Coaster within this same area.

Wow. That trackwork was absolutely excellent. Seriously, some of the best and most accurate trackwork I've ever seen. The pacing is just like a real Mack launch, the colors are tasteful, and the elements are very well executed. What do you use to make your coasters? (I'm guessing FVD) Brilliant work here, I think you should heavily theme it!

Thanks peeps, I'm glad you like it, but I'm sure you'd all agree, any kind of scenery would make a Pinfari look better, it's just a shame scenery and theme can't improve their ride experience haha!

@Paradox: You're asking y I do dis? Well, I forgot haha. Thanks for posting it though, it was originally going to be a standalone coaster but is now included in the park, and will be themed so that's a bonus.

@Coaster Hero: Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. As Paradox stated, it is indeed a Gerstlauer Eurofighter, not a Mack, although imagine the Mack restraints... *drools*. And with regards to trackwork, it's all hand built in the editor, no external software, just long, laborious work trying to perfect things haha. And yes, it will be themed... eventually.

@mkingy: It was an inspiration actually. That's the first inverting coaster I went on and I wanted something similar, so stuck with Pinfari haha!

So, this will probably be the last update for a little while as I'm going to be super busy over the next few weeks, but I thought I'd share how the Manic Miner cliff facade has come along. One thing I learnt is just how annoying Mack powered coaster supports are to make haha. Any ideas on names for this area of the park are welcomed as I'm not entirely sure, originally I thought of Frontierland but don't think that's too original. Anyway, onto the latest pics.

I love the ride name for a Pinfari coaster. That also reminds me of a cowpop named Stinky Pete in Toy Story.
