I'm currently planning to make my first trip over to the states towards the end of the year and am thinking of going to the Orlando area and have a couple of questions:

- I'm planning on heading there for 2 weeks at the start of November (around the 2nd - 16th). Is this a good time to go in terms of possible crowds at any of the park (without having to buy a fast pass or anything)?

- Do you have any tips on what things to do at the parks, like which rides in what order to make the most of my day, which days to visit certain parks, nearby places to go and eat, etc.?

- If I do end up going around this time, would anyone maybe like to do a meet-up at one of the parks?

Thanks

If you go towards the end of september then it would be great to have a small meetup. Opening nights for Halloween Horror Nights (At USO) Start around that time so I often go near the end of september. Let me know if anything changes. :)

I hate to advertise but my website may help you with thishttp://www.themeparksatnav.com. (Srysrysrysrysrysry)
People with probably say that you can do Orlando without SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. They will be wrong. They pretty much have the best coasters in the area, and thus cannot be missed. Good luck!
1st post, btw!

November is a great time to visit Orlando. Just make sure you double-check for any US holidays that occur in november.

As for park/rides plans of attack, don't visit any parks in the weekend and you'll have a virtually empty park. So you can do anything you want in the order you want the amount of times you want.

Delaying a visit to Florida because they are building something big, is something you shouldn't even start on. They have so many big themeparks, that every year they are building another top attraction or top ride. You just can't delay a visit because you would end up delaying the year after for the same reason, and the year after again and again and again.

That probably explains why you haven't really visited anything outside SeaWorld.

While holding off would be good to get some new rides in, none of the announced/rumoured rides for 2016 really do anything for me. I guess the Poler coaster interests me somewhat, but even then, it doesn't really pique my interests a whole lot (and since it's supposedly got pushed back to 2017 (that is something that happened, isn't it?)). And for the rumoured SW hyper, I've got Shambhala 1 flight away, so it's not really a priority.
