I can even see them getting a major attraction. Just not a coaster, especially of that size or cost. Even BGT took a hit with Falcon's Fury and will probably scale back for a few years as well. Locals hate that ride lol

Well you have to spend money to make money and the new ceo could figure stuff out and I think the reason bgt is getting a mack spinner fit doesn't cost much plus the park doesn't need anything big plus this would bring some good to seaworld as the blue world project doesn't come till a long time and they could figure it out because it won't be till like 2017

I do think for some reason that BGT is getting something big despite their financial situation. SeaWorld though, I highly doubt it. Look at Six Flags for example. They spent millions upon millions building enormous coasters in the early to mid 2000's, and nearly went bankrupt because they were spending so much money. Then they went through a drought in the late 2000's without many coasters under Shapiro and shifting the focus towards families. Now under Jim Reid-Anderson they seem to have found a balance, and as a result when they released their earnings yesterday, Q1 attendance and revenue were beyond expectation, and I was very pleasantly surprised when the virtual stock I hold (for a school related matter) jumped up significantly. Now they cater towards families and thrillseekers, and for the first time in 10+ years they are actually making money, giving us an actual budget for even better coasters and attraction. Let this be a lesson; to bring in the rides you need bring in the cash!

Seaworld will not get a major attraction, as they will never get their investment back, and that will make their financial crisis even worse than what it already is.

We already know bgt is getting a mack spinner this would bring family and seaworld with the giga would bring more of a thrill base attendance instead people looking at those lies about the treatment of ocras

Perhaps if SeaWorld didn't base their franchise on an animal that really shouldn't be kept in captivity period then they wouldn't be having these financial issues. However with this blue world project they clearly see them as an integral part of the business - and I imagine the majority of spare funds are being mobilized towards making captive Orcas profitable again - therefore a huge investment into a new rollercoaster is highly unlikely.

It's a measurement of how far light travels in a year. So if something is a million lightyears away from us. That means time has passed a million years before we even could see that certain spark of light.

So sounds like this new ride will be 200' tall, 4429' long, and 70mph. For reference, Goliath SFOG is 200' tall, 4480' long, and 70mph. Based on that and Kraken's manufacturer, I'm guessing B&M.

deere I don't think anyone could decipher your posts enough to say for sure that you were right.

^People always compare Kraken to DK, so a hyper like Shambhala would be fitting.

It's still a measurement of distance, it's like saying "you were supposed to be here at 3pm, you're 30 miles late!".

Personally hoping that the new hyper's a Mack! Athough a B&M wouldn't be bad either.

Well it looks like I was wrong. Nice call deere, sometimes the wildest guesses are the ones that are right. I mean, no one save me and like 3 other people thought Holiday World would ever get a wingrider with a launch, but now they opened one yesterday!

If this is a B&M, how many of them would they have? I think this will make them a B&M powerhouse. I hope it's like Goliath, as that was a solid hyper; the stats seem alike, as someone posted. It would fit in rather nicely into airtime-starved Florida

EDIT: I just realized that they are advertising the ride as the fastest, not the tallest. This is very smart marketing as Skyscraper is eventually coming and this coaster will only hope the title for a year or so, and the parks are pretty close to each other.

Is this possibly the red wing coaster at Clermont?

It's possible, but I don't see a red track fitting in at SeaWorld

Well I'll be damned. Nice call Deere, I didn't see it coming. Most of us didn't.

Rick I wouldn't say so. A 200-ft wingrider would be a monster of a project. It would be really expensive, and there would be a bit too much speed to work with during the layout. It would definitely cost more than GateKeeper which was between $25 and $30 million. I don't think the SeaWorld parks have that kind of money.

Who knows though. 200-ft is still a big coaster project for them regardless of the style. I'm happy to see they are still working on the thrill lineup as well as their sea animal exhibits and things. This is a really exciting prospect and I await the end of May to hear the exciting details (coaster type). A B&M mega would fit wonderfully in their lineup. And it would sort of mirror the San Antonio park with Steel Eel being their "mega".

Might as well go big or go home I guess.

At least they can go bankrupt building a hyper.

I only say wing coaster because, that's the most recent track we've seen, and just because it's 200 feet, doesn't mean the lift is that high. I could definitely see a bird theme for a ride at SeaWorld.

Am I the only one who feels the park wouldn't be able to afford a B&M hyper? It'll cost close to 30 million, and that seems a little to much. Intamin or Mack seems for likely for the sake of costs.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.
