Waiting in line is an large part of the amusement park experience that most if not all of us hate, but it's something that has to be endured to enjoy the rides. There are several things I do to help make it a little more bearable, and I'm curious about what the rest of you do while queueing. As for me, I...

-Use my phone.
-Talk with whoever is with me.
-Look at the rides and watch them cycle.
-Take pictures of the rides if I'm doing a trip report.
-Listen to other conversations for ridiculous GP comments.
-Watch the queue line TV (if applicable).

Can't beat a bit of switchback high-5 whilst walking empty queues.

I love how CW had TV's in all of their queues.

Does anyone know if Cedar Point is keeping theirs? They were all really beat up by the end of last year, doubt they'll survive more than 2 more years.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

99% of the time, I either:
-Watch the ride cycle until it's time
-Converse
One time at Holiday World while waiting for Mammoth I decided to pass the time by seeing if I could internally in my head, recite line for line all the dialogue from Disney's Hercules since I'd seen it so many times, from the beginning onward. Don't remember how far I got and IDK if I would be able to do it in one sitting.

I usually do all of the above, and I usually converse with a few people not in our group (they think I'm a genius after I tell them statistics about the ride, even though it's elementary to us  ). I also tend to sit on the railings but the ride ops put a stop to that most of the time :D
It's been a long time

I pretend to be a bit nervous in the queue line, but I love getting hyped up when I strap in, just to make an unexpected appeal to all GPs! :)

Usually I'm browsing on my phone and checking stuff on the internet. If I'm visiting a park with friends, we're pretty much chatting throughout the entire queueline. If any of those conversations happen to be dying or over, we usually end up going back to the phone or watch the trains cycling around the track. Whenever I feel like it I could be taking a photo of the ride, but that also depends on how many times I've visited a park and the type of camera I got on me. On newer or less visited parks I always end up taking like 20 photos of the same angle on a coaster, with the only differences having a train on a slightly different spot and taken on complete different time throughout my visit.
