So, when I get to the park on the first day (won't be arriving until the afternoon), in what order should I ride the coasters?

I'd check to see if Raptors line is short. If not I'd head to the back by Magnum/Gemini/TTD and hit those.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Get the B-list coasters out of the way first, save the rides.that have.lines for the morning early entry. Do the wooden coasters at night. Windseeker too, the park is amazing lit up. Soak City isn't worth it. Really only those who live right there and have passes go for the pool

Slight change: we're considering not staying on-site and staying at some other hotel in Sandusky since we're trying to save money. If I upgrade to a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass, will I still get early entry, or do we have to stay on-site for that?

If you get a Platinum Pass, it's 1 hour early entry for you every day all season! Plus then you can go to Valleyfair all season and get a half hour of early entry into the new waterpark.

Yea, If you are staying off site, it's worth it to cough up the money for a platinum pass. All the perks tiepilot said and Soak City at CP and Free Parking at all Cedar Fair parks!

Considering making a slight itinerary change. My new trip idea is to go to Kings Island on Tuesday, June 9th, drive up to Sandusky that evening, then spend Wednesday and Thursday at Cedar Point. Would this work, and if so, should I go ahead and do it? I just figured that if I'm going to be in Ohio, I might as well visit Kings Island too.

Yes, I'd suggest Fast Lane Plus for KI and for 1 day at CP.

For me it's the spot that lives up to the hype. Best first impression.

Just wondering, does anyone here know how much a spin on Cedar Point's Slingshot costs? I plan on riding it once since I've always wanted to ride a Slingshot but never had the chance.

It's too much to be worth it. I "tested" it along with some other employees and I would't pay 25 for it.

$25 seriously? That's extremely overpriced for a ride you can find at a lot of fairs!

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.

I ended up not riding Slingshot after all because I agree that $25 is a pretty ridiculous price for what the ride is.

Guests would be more than happy if that ride cost was "$25 minus $20"! Like they spend $5! :D
